adnan
Okay. I proposed this idea in the top 100 albums list, and more than one person told me it was a good idea, but to wait till the top 100 albums contest was over. So people wouldn't get distracted and forget to vote there. RulesEvery member gets to choose 10 songs they believe should be considered among MYGNR's Top 100 Songs of all timeThe order of the list does not matter. You are allowed to vote for two songs per band only. You can vote for two songs by different bands even if some of the members are the same. (You can put 2 Gn'R & 2 VR songs for example). This is to prevent a very biased result and hoping for a more mixed list. You cannot change your vote. Please think carefully about your selection because the first post ONLY will count.Unreleased songs do not count. I.E. "Crash Diet".This competition will run from today, 20th July 2006 to the 15th of September 2006, on which day I will begin collecting the votes. The results will be revealed by September 17th, or later if necessary.Discussion about the song selection and quality are welcome, but do not start bitchfests. If I start a bitchfest if/when somebody lists a death metal song, moderators are more than welcome to delete my post and any others that resulted from it.Please mention the full names of your SONG AND ARTIST selection. Do not use common abbreviated forms. (SCOM, CN, WTTJ)Voting for covers is allowed, but not for more than one cover of the same song.THE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THEM OFTEN TO SEE THAT THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED.Discussion about these rules, criticism, and/or suggestions are welcome. Please post them in this thread. This does not mean you can have your way with this contest and make me your bitch. Only reasonable, and arguable suggestions please. I will start with my list:When Doves Cry- PrinceHelter Skelter- The BeatlesShe Talks to Angels- The Black CrowesLike A Rolling Stone- Bob DylanTangled Up in Blue- Bob DylanSatisfaction- The Rolling StonesWalk This Way- AerosmithTears in Heaven- Eric ClaptonSugar Magnolia- The Grateful DeadNo More Mr. Nice Guy- Alice Cooper Edited September 16, 2006 by adnan

adnan
Suggestion: Can we do this thing except with bands after this one is over?We could just do a different one ever 2 months, by different people, most probably. Then we could have a gigantic topic with the forum's opinion on everything music.

DirtyDeeds
I have a question. Are we allowed to have more than two songs by someone, though part of different projects? For instance, could I have two Led Zeppelin songs, a Page and Plant song, a Honeydrippers song, and a Robert Plant solo song? Or Two Gn'R songs and a Slash's Snakepit song? Some of the same people involved, though a different band.

I said 2 songs by each band/artist, no exceptions to whether there were the same people. Two VR and Gn'R songs also allowed.
