Reunion ends now

Hopefully you are right! That last lead before the vocals doesn't sound like Slash to me.. That would be super cool if Izzy was involved to some extent.
That lead is definitely Slash ;-)

If they record Fortus playing parts on the classic songs that will be enough to make me never buy it..
LOL. In all honesty it sounds a lot like Izzy to me but i guess we'll find out soon.

If all this promotion was just for some website/app, then the only logical assumption would be some kind of digital vault: pay $5 for any soundboard recording from any era, or $10 for the video/soundboard from any era. Maybe throw some photos from the gigs in there too.
But if it was just for a streaming site (lol) they'd just post about it on twitter or something.... not put up billboards all over the world
As much as I'd actually prefer they just launch a digital vault, like most people I'm pretty sure it's gonna be an AFD boxset.
Could be correct on this one but maybe it's also downloadable content that fans can pay GNR directly for? avoiding all the other areas that take their percentage? Seems to me like something GNR with Duff's financial brain added might decide to do.

Axl voice really sounds re-recorded, and the guitar as well. Would love it if all the demos are re-recorded. And please include one or two unheard songs.
I agree. I also think that might be Fortus playing Izzy's part. Hard to tell. IF it is he's doing a really good job on it! Slash has also changed his lead tone from the original.

Looks to me that people are getting wayyyyyyy over excited. Gnr.FM. Surely the clue is in the name?
An internet based radio station playing GNR with plenty rare material, re-masters and maybe a few re-recorded songs? It looks like that to me. Guess we'll have to wait.
On the background though... why so many dots in Japan???!??! any ideas?

to answer the original poster..
Because they are the last of a long gone breed of fire in the belly rebellion. No one is the winner anymore within the internal/passion/love of war in GNR. The reunion tour has been absolutely magnificent. Vices more empowered/dismembered/crazed. IMO no new album, retirement, half assed albums from the alumni and really not a lot else. Forever (not bad thing in my eyes). GNR is a legend that should never be tarnished any more. I for one can't blame any of the current band/management. After all the shit for a LONG fucking time.. i don't think any of us would or could do anything different in their cowboy boots.
Be grateful for what we all have. The GNR legacy is intact and it's one hell of a fucking legacy!!

Izzy seems to be enjoying his life. Nothing wrong with that. Getting with Matt is a sign that he absolutely not interested in the GNR reunion imo. But who asked who? My money is on Matt looking for some sort of association with GNR. Great drummer.

Axl almost always stays up drinking after a show. Adrenaline buzz+alcohol and chicks. It's really a non-story.

I've said it before.. i really don't see any new music coming any time soon. Beta is saying nothing for a reason. She's not allowed to. There's a TOUR happening. She's not going to say there's no album for 2-3 yrs or whatever.. that would be a great way to derail the entire thing as bad publicity got out and tabloids make up more lies. What everyone is saying is that things are happening and it's a wait and see what happens next. Slow progress is still progress. People are getting along but i can only imagine how guarded some of the chats and things are right now between band members.
on another note people having a go at Beta's appearance need to get a grip.

Always very cool meeting the guys in the band. As far as i can remember, these have to be the best times to meet them. All cool. Axl is insanely funny so it's a shame you didnt get to meet him but fkn awesome to meet the others!

Serious question.
Clearly not a serious question if you had heard them live at certain shows in the late 80's - 90's. GNR are burning it up right now. Enjoy it. Might not last long.

Axl isn't a perfectionist. If he was a perfectionist, he wouldn't have released Chinese Democracy, since it was far from perfect in every aspect.
didn't want to release it in it's current form. Hence he vanished for a while

I'm sure he won't care

It's just rock and roll music. It actually is pretty easy for these guys. It's what they do for s living.
From Axl's mouth he has between 25-to-50 songs that are complete. Slash has show he likes to put out an album every couple years.
Axl could let Slash/Duff pick their three favorite remaining CD songs.
Slash could bring three of his current songs to the table.
Each guy brings a cover.
And they can write 4 songs together.
That's an album that could be released next summer.
Axl can package the remaining CD songs for an album this Christmas and simutaniously sell the remix album on iTunes. And that would close out the Replacement Era.
I play in a band myself and i agree. In my band it is at least just rock n roll music. In Guns it's more of a business and a lot of interested parties from the individual members to the record label. A lot of stars need to align before anything will get released.
Axl is a perfectionist and won't release anything until he's ready and happy with it (and i like that about him). That in itself is probably enough to stop a release any time soon. I suspect we might get a greatest hits or a remix album with a new song next year. Perhaps a live DVD of a show. But this is just guesswork and going on what has happened over the last 20+ years then history tells us it could be another very long wait. I hope not though. I certainly don't expect to see 12+ new songs but here's hoping!
Also Slash and Duff have signed up to do live show's. At this point people are just hoping it stays together so Guns can continue and make money. The rumors of Slash recording were probably just that. I personally think he was laying his own solos and other parts on CHIDEM tracks to see how it fit and perhaps let Axl hear them before taking the show live.

So are most people. Freddie was a fantastic singer.

Guns know they need to release something to ride the wave. Problem is, it's not simple.
-
Pantera rocking the sound system in here right now. Spoke to a guy at the gate and he said the place is virtually sold out. Few hundred nose bleed seats left and some resale. Wow. This is going to rock!
-
My spare ticket is now sold. please stop pm'ing me now lol
-
I've STILL got a spare ticket for Arlington tomorrow! It's going to waste if no one wants it!!
-
Anyone arriving late? I cant be fucked with the cult and all the traffic shit before the show. Planning to show up right before GNR hit the stage.
