He is. It was never released (slash version). So experimenting is cool. 

If you notice there's certain phrases and notes he always hits. Its when a guitarist pauses to think of something new. 

I would put a good few hundred dollars on a  re-release of this song.. maybe soon? maybe not haha!

This might be GNR but some people need to remember this is the first tour run. This is essentially a new band learning how each other plays.

These shows are the best i've seen in years 

I really used to like Frank but Duff and him are simply not getting the basic rhythm right in parts. Frank seems to be unable to hold a steady tempo.
