  1. If Axl had a plan to remaster Appetite, that would be extremely bad news for other reasons other than the mastering...

A guy like Axl could very well pull a Gene Simmons and re-record Appetite with the current band... That would be extremely disappointing and a further stain on GNR's History...

A newly recorded AFD would sound much more amazing considering the better technology we have and the pure talent the current band has,

They have been touring these songs like madmen for more than a decade, they can play these songs better than anyone else on the planet.

How can you even fucking compare the Original Lineup with the current one is beyond me...

    Good musicians are good musicians.

AFD has been rerecorded. GN'R rerecorded it in (I think) 1999. I'd love to hear it. Maybe this time around we can actually get some definition on the kick drum and sharpen the cymbals a bit.

  3. Why is everyone confusing production with mastering? These are two different things entirely, done by different people. Rick Rubin produced those records - are you trying to say he mastered them too?

No, but it is strange that he produced these records.

  4. Seriously? People can't hear the failure line? On the album it goes

    Oooh-ohh-ohh-oh oh

    What'd I tell ya

    Ohh-oh-oh oh oh

    That's one more failure.

    (Further ohing)

    Inside of you.

He never really did it live often but I love it when he does.

Yup, I've never noticed it until watching the Philly video just now but I still can't hear it on CD. I'll try again later on through my headphones, but I've listened to SOD a billion times in different ways and never picked it up. I can kind of hear "That's" but then to me it sounds like he follows it up with "What'd I tell ya?" again.

  5. "We live and learn and then sometimes it's best to walk away. Me, I'm just here hanging on. It's my only place to stay, at least for now anyway. I've worked too hard for my illusions just to throw them all away."

But many would argue that that's exactly what he's done: thrown them away.

If he'd thrown them away there wouldn't be a Guns N' Roses today.

But there's no doubt he hasn't utilised them properly. I'd say he's barely hanging on right now, whereas he could be sitting on top of the world like the Stones are. To me hanging on doesn't count as "worked too hard for my illusions just to throw them all away". There's been so many lost opportunities.

Axl's recent shiteating grin indicates to me that he has much more music to come. I wouldn't lament his position because i think we will surprise us.

    Yeah. That's pretty much it.

  8. Basically just new music for me. An Australian tour would be great but I honestly hope they don't come back here to tour for at least 2 years as every time they do I end up being extremely broke. Haha.

Just on seeing GN'R and finances, I've spent around $20,000 since 2007. So a break would from seeing them would be nice for my wallet. Haha
