  1. Hey. :)

Just thought I'd let you know, Anybody is not a GN'R song. It's by a band called Asphalt Ballet. I made the same mistake a while ago and posted a thread like '0MG TEH NU GNR SONG'

I tried looking for the lyrics under Asphalt Ballet, but have been unable to find anything for that song by that artist.. any ideas on where I could start looking?

  2. Does anyone know if I can get a guitar tab for "Better"? I know this must be almost impossible, but can anyone help me out?

Also, can anyone tell me the complete lyrics to "Anybody"? I know a lot of you don't want to talk about the new stuff but these two songs in particular are awesome!

    Thanks!

Axl, you're my world... and Bumblefoot, keep rocking dude!

  3. In the sleeve of AFD or Live Era (can't remember which and I don't have it to hand as I'm at work) there is a gold ring with the Guns N' Roses logo on it. Does anyone know if this ring was ever available to buy, or was it made just for the band members?

I would be very grateful if someone could let me know...

    Thanks a lot..

  5. It was fucking awesome man! As I said, it was my first concert and although I got a little pissed at the drunk people behind me and one in front of me who I ended up pushing out of the way before I knocked him on his ass, I was so close to Axl and even got close to Finck and Fortus that it's just indescribable!

    Did you enjoy the shows?

  6. Axl you made all my dreams come true when I saw you on 29 July at Wembley! Please get better soon cos I love you and need you!

Take care of you, and give me a shout if you need a kiss better (it's what I'm known for ;) )

  7. Having attended my first ever (and not just GN'R) concert, I am in awe!

Having wandered into the mosh pit not really having a clue what I was doing, and then after waiting 3 hours for the man himself to come on (not that I'm complaining, the anticipation was amazing!), I was stood 6 feet from Axl Fucking Rose when he came to the right hand side (if you're looking at it) of the stage where he proceeded to lean over as he sang IRS and Paradise City in the encore! I was looking into the eyes of the man himself and believe me when I say there is nothing better for a GN'R fan like myself, if you have no hope of ever being lucky enough to do anything else if you know what I mean!

The gig was amazing and Axl really excelled himself.. From what I understand from people I know who have attended his concerts before, with the new band, July 29 was the best ever performance! And I've never seen anything like it!

Bumblefoot's solo of Don't Cry was phenomenal and Fortus and Finck having a "battle of the solos" at one point was unbelieveable.. Even the drummer who was a stand-in for Brain was fantastic!

But Hell! I WAS 6FT AWAY FROM AXL ROSE!

And Richard Fortus smiled at me when I stuck my tongue out at him whilst rocking out to Paradise City!

    WELCOME BACK GN'R!!!! rock1

  8. Just have a read around the concerts section etc. and download some bootlegs and videos :)

Also on a slightly different note, I wonder how many people are going to go these shows expecting the old lineup etc. There must be people going who have no idea about CD or anything past '93/'94. I mean, I don't think there's much saying that it's a completely different lineup and when I saw a TV advert for the Wembley shows, all the footage was old stuff of Axl, mainly from '87, '88, '91

I know that it's a completely different line up, but having listened to their new stuff I have to approve, (as much as I can do without Slash of course!).. I think it'll be an amazing night, but I'm still nervous about the atmosphere around the mosh pit, what to wear, whether or not I'm going to be deaf for a couple of days, how gutted I'll be if Axl decides to walk off the stage (please no!), whether I'll be able to breathe or whether I'll be jammed up against a sweaty overweight man in too tight jeans... Know what I mean?

    :D

Stop worrying! Wear sensible clothes, like a t-shirt, jeans, enclosed shoes... If a mosh pit gets too rough up the front, remember that you can always move further back without great difficulty. If it's a huge concern for you, just don't go up the front to begin with.

Think about having fun, not about what could go wrong. ;)

Thanks for that.. It is quite unnerving, but I know it'll be an amazing night and I can't wait.. Is Ron Thal really as good as everyone says live?

  10. Ok I know this is a kinda random subject, but I am going to my first ever GN'R gig (in fact my first ever concert) on 29 July at Wembley Arena in London.. I have no idea what to expect.. Can anyone enlighten me please?

  11. Uk for sure, US hopefully

Ok, I know this is a little off subject, but I am going to my first ever gig next Saturday (London, Wembley Arena) and I'm a little nervous.. I have always been a fan of GN'R but have never been to a concert in my life.. what should I expect?
