  1. I'm so tired of this crap about the general public only wanting to see Slash and Axl back together. Of all the comments I have read on news sites, social media etc, from people who generally don't seem educated enough to be forum members, I have not once read excitement over the Axl/Slash combo. However, I have seen Izzy's name mentioned hundreds of times as well as talk about Matt and Steven. I have even seen more demand for Gilby than actual cheering over Axl and slash's reconciliation. People may not know a lot about Izzy but they know NU-GNR is uncool and that Izzy's "the real deal". The more this is marketed as the originals getting back together or even the UYI band getting back on the road, the more likelihood for the tour to be a success.

This is the same thing I am seeing EVERYWHERE. Online and with people I know.

  2. You can't pull up any pairs or more for the citi presale anymore

    Just saying

The scalpers finished buying them up. They are all up on stub hub. Seriously, go check stub hub. The amount of tickets up there already is insane. There are literally thousands for each show. And that is just from the presale...

  3. Most bands are charging threw the roof for tickets. Not quite this high but still in the $200 range for floor seats and lower bowl. I saw motley crue on their final tour and tickets were $199 for floors and first part of the lower bowl. $150 for the rest of the lower bowl then $90 for upper deck with the back at $50. I saw kiss in 2014 and it was $80 for nosebleeds at the back. Can't remember floor tickets. Saw pearl jam and it was $80 for every seat no matter floor or in the back. I just hate it cause the last time i Saw slash from five rows back for $80. Last time I saw axl I paid $45 for mid lower bowl. Saw kings I chaos (duff,Matt, gilby) for $35. Saw hookers n blow for $20. So I saw the entire UYI lineup for $180 at four seperate shows and paid $800 for two tickets to each Vegas show

I don't know. I go to a lot of concerts. I saw the Crue 4 times on he final tour and tickets weren't as high as the show you saw. The last one was about 20 rows from the stage on the floor and it was $140 after charges. I have seats in Section 1 for the final Sabbath tour and they were $175 after charges and that was expensive.. Van Halen's last tour, the tix were $175 after charges and the venues were half empty..

Ticket prices do suck these days but these ones are outrageous. $300 a pop for good seats after the surcharges?

  4. The first presale sold out in minutes

When the general sale happens it'll sell out, watch

Also, I hate to say it but the 100 dollar nosebleed is becoming the norm. It sucks.

Rush was like 80, Van halen was like 70, the Stones were 200, etc

What presale was that? There are still tickets available for the citi card presale. And by the looks of stub hub.. 90% of the tickets were just bought by scalpers.

  5. The presence of the new band members is a real wet blanket on things. There is also the fact we still have no interviews, press releases or anything from the band that would get across to the public that this GNR tour is different than any of the other tours Axl has been doing for 10 years.

That is kind of the vibe I am getting. I hear more people talking about ticket prices and the absence of certain band members more than talking about being excited. I know I am excited but there is something anticlimactic about this.

  6. stadium tour will likely be a bit cheaper (hopefully) but with these being the first shows im guessing they are jacking the price up

I mean I have seriously cut back on my concert going to save in anticipation of this tour. I wanted to go to as many shows as possible on the east coast. I just can't see it now and the ticket prices have a lot to do with it. The other reason is that it kind of seems like it will be more like NuGnR than a reunion.. But I still wanted to give it a shot.

  7. So I have been trying to get tickets all day from the Citi Card Pre-sale. I am not flying to Vegas to sit in the nose bleeds. There are still tickets left and I would have thought they would sell out in minutes. Most of the tickets that were sold were just bought by scalpers and "ticket agencies" and were just immediately posted on stub hub.. I know we are all excited but I hear a lot of people outside these forums talking about the ticket prices and saying things like "Maybe if Izzy was there I'd pay that", "Axl sounds like shit", "I'm not paying that money and have Axl not show up until midnight"... I know people like us would pay a lot but do you think people in general are going to want to? I mean $100 (after charges) for nosebleeds seats in the back is pretty f'n steep. Does anyone think they could really have a successful stadium tour at these prices? I feel like the Stadiums wouldbe half empty. Are the prices higher because it is in Las Vegas?

  8. No GA was available. The best bet would be the Silver VIP GA seats. Should have grabbed them last night but they were over $600. Airfare, hotel, tickets...man almost $2,000 to see Guns?

Yeah I ended up with lower level seating for $250 yesterday, night 1. But I'm not satisfied with that. I think Friday is our best bet for GA.

How do we get a password for Friday's pre-sale?

  9. You people took too long. I just watched a good portion of this show and Axl sounds "good enough" for me. If Axl can pull off sounding like this with Axl and Slash along side it will be great. The more members from the classic era the better and I really hope they decide to "trim some of the fat"..

There is nothing I want to see more in the world of Rock N' Roll than a reunion of the Appetite lineup. I want as close to it as it can get.. But hopefully Axl busts his ass to at least get in this form and we will have something special happening either way.

Oh.. And the credits just rolled on this show.. TEAM BRASIL is a real thing? hahahah I always thought it was a name given to Axl's management by the fans here.. Who knew? I really haven't followed NuGuns closely since about 2002.

Most people think Axl sounds pretty awful in those O2 Arena videos.

I never said he sounded great.. I just said he sounded good enough. Having Slash and Duff with him (at the very least) will make it even better. Not good enough to carry a show with a bunch of hired hands. Just trying to be optimistic. As long as he doesn't come out sounding like that VH1 award show.
