  1. Most likely we're going to see the band consist of Axl, Slash, Duff, Pitman, Dizzy, Fortus, and Frank.

That just looks so watered down... Two keyboardists is ridiculous and Frank is awful....

oh because a full reunion wouldnt be?

I don't think it would be or they would have done it a long time ago.. They mended friendships first so why not?

  2. Having 3 guitarist would suck and how anyone wouldn't want Izzy to be part of this is beyond me. Who gives a fuck if he just stands there.. That is what he does. The chemistry between him and Slash is unmatched and his background vocals sound right. Of course he sounded drowned out in NuGnR.. He wasn't in the band and there were 10 other people on stage.

  3. They won't. Too much interchange at drummer and rhythm guitar for them to even consider it.

    ALX------------AXL----------AXL-------AXL

    SLASH--------SLASH-------SLASH---SLASH

    DUFF----------DUFF--------DUFF-----DUFF

    [Guitarist]------Izzy----------Gilby------Richard

    [Drummer]-----Steven-------Matt------Frank

I agree with all that except for Frank... Bring back that Brain guy or bring in Brent Fitz if they have to.. Anyone but Frank.. Steven is my # 1 choice though.

  4. Bach got ripped a new asshole when he said to Axl "just release CD" I had to LOL at that. Skid Row reunion would be as big as Ugly Kid Joe reuniting.

    Ugly Kid Joe still play..

I actually think a Skid Row reunion would be relatively successful.. I mean they wouldn't be headlining arenas or anything but I bet they could pull in a couple thousand people a show. That isn't bad these days for an old rock band.

  5. The only genuinely "bad" tracks on the UYIs are Get in the Ring and Shotgun Blues. Whereas on CD, every song except for Catcher, Better, TWAT, Shackler's and Rhiad is pretty damn mediocre. 9 songs out of 14 are easily filler and definitely forgettable.

I like both Shotgun and Get In The Ring

Never experience a filler on a GNR record before.

My World, Scraped and Anything Goes disagree with you.

I wouldn't call Anything Goes filler either.. Some people may not like it as much as the rest of the album but it is still a damn good song...

  6. A cross between LIES and Appetite would be a dream come true but would never happen.. I have no doubt in my mind that they could make a great music again together though. Let Axl listen to what Slash/Izzy and Duff came up with before they started VR and see if there is anything there he can work with.. They said they have an albums worth of material. Axl has tons of music.. Let the guys listen to it and see if there is anything they think they would like to contribute too. Take the best of the best and jam the fuck out of the songs. Maybe a cover they used to play or one from a band that they bonded over back in the day. I think it would be cool to have no ballads.. Mostly straight up Guns N' Roses fucking rock n' roll along with one of Axl's more epic type of songs.

Definitively not The Boys are back in town or Born to be Wild though hahah..

First thing is first though.. See if it still feels right playing together again. Get out there and do a couple of shows...

Imagine if they are secretly writing shit together behind the scenes though??? All of a sudden BOOM. They announce a new record and a supporting tour?? About a .0099999% chance of that happening but it would be completely mind blowing.

  7. Axl said that he had to go through hell while making UYI albums. There were constant phonecalls where everyone said "Im not doing this song until you do mine". At the end nobody gave a fck anymore.

    Axl did My World.

    Slash did Coma.

    Duff did So Fine.

    Izzy did 14 Years.

Axl n duff did get in the ring (another pathetic song).

Axl did My world without anyone knowing. Just an out of the box way to end an album. I don't hate it.

Slash and Axl did Coma.. It was Slash's riff and the guitars are great but Axl shaped the song quite a bit if not more so. Definitely a collaboration.

    So Fine sucks

14 years is good. I kind of wish Axl took more of a backseat during the chorus though. Maybe a little lower in the mix.

I always liked Get In the Ring and still do.. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but I wouldn't call it pathetic.

  8. nice, gonna try that one

any listening suggestions of stuff by the older guys?

My favorite old timer is Howlin' Wolf.. It is more about his voice than the guitars though. Izzy used to do some of his covers.. Some were songs that were done by a lot of blues guys but Izzy did Wolf's versions.

    Killing floor

    Smokestack Lightning

    Evil

    Highway 49

    highway 49 (Izzy)

    Spoonful

    Spoonful (Izzy)
