I've seen Slash & Myles live this year and I must say... he sounds surprisingly good on GN'R songs. Better than those youtube clips - and even there he sounds good, imo.
He knows that he's not Axl and the good thing is, he doesn't want to be Axl; so he sings songs his way and I really enjoy them.

If we at least were bringing up frontmen...
I can't believe anyone bringing up people like Jagger, that guy is not a good singer.I'd say top 3 sure, but then - I can't imagine anyone else as #1; so yes, for me he is the best vocalist.
He doesnt hold a candle to Freddie technically wise.
Jagger was way better back in the day. He was actually singing and there was a lot of passion in his voice.
Also his vocal range is wide, but he's not anywhere near Mercury.

No.
and Miser, you clearly stated in the past that you don't like bbf, so this is a cupcake thread
Miser?
Where did I say that i don't like Bumblefoot? I do like him - I just don't think that he is (one of) the best guitarist. Imo, he's average and in the current GN'R lineup is Fortus way better. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Moonlight Mile would be great.
+ a decent video of it on youtube

1.) Hair of the Dog - Nazareth
2.) Knockin' on Heaven's Door - GN'R
3.) Live and Let Die - GN'R. But Paul's live performances of this song are amazing.
4.) Sympathy for the Devil - The Rolling Stones
-
They played Memory Motel... nice.
-
Reunion would be off the table.
-
It is a travesty what he did to those les Paul's. they don't need any alteration
Yeah, it's like having a pink Lamborghini.
Les Paul is rolling in his grave.
-
'Reunion threads' overdose.
-
Interesting.
Fortus is (imo) the best guitarist in GN'R right now, so it would be great to see them play together.

Dont Damn me has been played live 2 times
Don't Damn Me has never been played live ("Mates Rehearsal" isn't really a live show).

Do we have the full Coconut Teaszer gig? I didn't know how much we have. Too bad we don't have the full scrap bar recording. The Yesterdays version on the bootleg "Rumbo Tapes" sounds a lot like that Yesterdays Axl n West were playin' at the Scrap Bar.
I have (only) Yesterdays, KOHD, Born To Be Wild and Honky Tonk Women from this show...

I have been thinking about the Lies thing. In my opinion it was probably recorded between 5th January - 31st January (Wall may have got the month right).
Have a read of this about a Drunk Fux gig from John's page...
01.14.88 - Coconut Teaszer, Hollywood, CA
set: I Got A Line On You, Wishing Well, Communication Breakdown, Scarred For Life, Sentimental Movie, Yesterdays, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Born To Be Wild, Honky Tonk Women
audio/video recording?: audio
notes: This band is known as the Drunk Fux - Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, Steven, West Arkeen & Del James. The first performance of 'Yesterdays,' Axl mentions they will try to record it next week Axl sings lead on 'Yesterdays' & 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door,' and shares vocals on 'Honky Tonk Women.'
They had a recording session booked then, late January (c. 21st) 1988. 'Yesterdays' is an acoutsic track: it is not improbable that 'Yesterdays' was considered for Lies at some stage.
Yesterdays sounds great. A bit more bluesy sound.
It sure is.
That's from '89, Scrap Bar.
I meant Coconut Teaszer (01.14.88).
But yeah, West Arkeen knows how this song should be done.
