Alice In Chains - The entire gig at Roskilde 2010, they were amazing
You're from Denmark? I wanted to go see them so bad, but I couldn't afford both GNR and AIC

Interviewer : What do you think of Motley Crue ?
DJ : Well, I'll be on the road with Guns n' Roses in september. Buy tickets !
Get your point, but Nikki Sixx does this constantly himself with his radio show, books, Mötley etc so in this case I don't mind DJ doing it.

^^Members of GNR have always done solo projects though, it's not something new. Axl seems to be the only one who sticks 100% to GNR (except for a few guest perormances on Baz's cd) I guess Axl enjoys the time off and needs to recharge for GNR where as the others might get bored sitting around for too long and therefor have other projects on the side, but GNR is always no. 1 prority.

I doubt they'll ever be able to just move on with their lives. These guys need money. Eddie Vedder and Johnny Depp will likely organize a fundraising concert and I hope GNR and Metallica play it.

Revolver: "What music have you been able to listen to? Do you still listen to metal and hard rock?"
Echols: "I'm not allowed to have CDs or an iPOD, so I'm stuck with whatever they play on mainstream radio now. Yeah, I still love metal, though. I think metal is the fountain of youth. It keeps you young. One of the local radio stations played the entire Chinese Democracy album by Guns N' Roses when it first came out, and I had tears on my face through the whole thing because of how magical it was. I heard Axl's voice, and it was like the past 17 years had never happened. For an hour or so I was 18 years old and free again."
Revolver: "You've collaborated with Pearl Jam and Michael Graves on music. Who would be your dream artist to work with?"
Echols: "Definitely Marilyn Manson. I love how he's constantly exploring new art forms and growing as an artist while refusing to let anyone define him. Rob Zombie is another one. He is an absolute genius. I'm also a huge fan of Nick Cave, both in literature and music, so to do anything with him would be pure magic. And Axl Rose, of course. There has never been a band that means as much to me as GN'R, no matter who else is in the lineup."
That's so cool what he said about GNR
If GNR doesn't perform I could still see Axl donating money to them in private, he obviously believes in their innocence.
When did I say they did?

Oh wow, I never thought this would actually happen! I remember watching Paradise Lost and thinking that they were just boys who were into rock music and exploring like any teenager does, I know I read lots on satanism, the occoult and stuff at that age.
I wonder who really did kill those boys...

This thread will not have 30+ pages unlike sometimes if Axl shows he is pissed off.
It is human nature to focus on negative ideals.
Oh well
Yep. That is probably the reason.
Not the fact that it has been on youtube for three years and there have already been a couple of threads about it back then.
Come on...
Anyway.
It´s cool.
Yeah cause there hasn't been a huge number of threads on here about other issues about Axl The same issues are discussed to death on here every single day: Axl vs. Slash, Buckethead vs. Bumblefoot, Is DJ Ashba a poser, has Slash sold out...want me to continue?
-
To everyone who feels the need to point out that it's "old news": I never claimed in the title thread or my post that it was. This is "Discussion & News" and most of the things posted here are not news but discussion just as this is.
So discuss instead of bitching or shut up.

One of Axls coolest moments on stage. Actually one of the coolest things anyone has ever done on stage that I have seen.
Same. Just randomly came across it on youtube and thought it was a cool video.

exactly. He's not a complete dick like many say
I don't understand why people think he's such an asshole always. He's just honest and reacts to situations with the emotion he's feeling at that moment instead of keeping it cool cause it might get in the press. Others might wait til they get off stage, but Axl reacts in the moment cause he's (in my opinion) a pretty passionate person, both personally and professionally.

Cause of all the talk about Axl not respecting the fans by walking of stage if things are thrown at him and all that I figured I'd post this video where Axl stops the show to defend a fan who he feels security are being way too aggressive with.
Thought you guys might like to see it.

I think it's pretty common knowledge among fans that he likes "weird" stuff like that, he's a huge halloween lover as well and very into all that.

Are their any pics of him without the Halloween outfit?

Glad to see Ron back on his feet and playing again

I agree with the last couple of posts on that Axl probably wouldn't get mad about people being friends with Slash as well.
Even DJ has met and talked to Slash and Axl is apperently pretty good friends with DJ so I doubt Axl cares.
-
If they still were friends they're probably not now since he said that on TV. Why say it on TV instead of just talking to Axl about it?

He wouldn't dare do any of those things! As confused (or whatever it is Steven is) as he is I can't help but still like him! If there ever were to be a reunion I'd definetly want Steven there!
