Time off? He didn't perform for 6 years and then a futher 2 years break off the road from 03-05. You would think that Axl would be amped after last years hugely successful tour! But his complet silence since last December it really does seem that Axl operates in a completely diff universe from anyone. He should go solo. It's not fair to drag his bandmates into this mess. His bandmates sound frustated and eager to do things.

They were on the road for a full year or so. Axl's taking a well earned couple of months off.

Also, I think that the constant complaining and pressure he gets from some fans/press etc doesn't exactly make him wanna hurry up, you know? CD was relased 2 and a half years ago and there have just been a big tour and still people are complaining. Before CD was released people were complaining about it not being released and now that it's here and we got a big tour people complain still.

Im excited for new music as well, but give it time and give Axl the break he deserves right now.

I can totally see this happening cause Axl is such a perfectionist, like everyone around him is all "This is awesome! " and Axl is like "Meh... " Then he decides it's not good enough and forgets about it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to hear the stuff, but I don't want Axl to release something he's not happy with.

I KNEW this shit would happen. He wore the hat BEFORE getting in GNR! He's inspired by Mick Mars of Mötley Crüe who also wears a tophat a lot, so get over it already. Is he also copying Axl cause he wears a bandana?

DJ's style is obviously very inspired by Mötley Crüe (Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee) you'd know that if you bothered paying attention to DJ and not just his hat.

Anyways, cool news It's great to know that there is being worked on GNR music. DJ always has a lot of things going on at once and as Sixx:AM is planing on touring (I don't now why Nikki don't wanna do it) I don't see it as weird that Ron or Richard hasn't mentioned anything cause they are touring etc and cause DJ isn't he has time to record and write atm.

^^It is. Very raw and emotional. I love the piano in the beginning, it's really beautiful. I wonder if any of them can play the piano or if they had someone else do it. If any of them can play the piano I think it would be James.
