He really needs to change his footwear once he's back on his feet, though. He's fallen over a number of times on recent tours. It's time to strike a new deal with Converse...

    Totally agree with this!

The cowboy boots need to disappear and the whole 80's wash-up studded rocker outfit too. What he's wearing now for ACDC is the right thing (except the hats, sunglasses and excessive jewelry). As for shoes, really need comfortable ones, fashionable but good for a 2 hours show. Not sure the Giuseppe Zanotti ones are right for this but he could get a deal with any major sport shoes manufacturer.

Converse and Adidas would be great but I've seen him wearing Nike stuff.

I just imagine Angus talking Axl through all these official releases, "look Axl we are going to do some releases from this tour with you just sign here" Axl: "nah that's not really my thing I don't want to step on anyone's toes and my record label might sue me..." Angus: "yiss yiss it will be fine sign right there I'll take care of everything"

Angus does that type of shit. And he's brilliant at it.

I really really believe the official release is coming. They have something really good here and if they get a show withAxl on his feet id expect a blu Ray release but if not I'd expect an iTunes release along the lines of "ACDC live in Lisbon ft Axl Rose"

Why are so many people twisting killuridols words completely out of proportion to the original sentiment? Just to be argumentative I suppose. And as far as having Fernando and the like always around him, well most people sightsee with their spouse or their children or their friends do they not? Axl has no spouse, children, mother or father to accompany him on these jaunts, and maybe he doesn't like to be alone! TB are not only his assistants, but also his friends and "family", and it's nice to have someone to talk to when you are out exploring. Not to mention that yes, he is a rich celebrity, and like a lot of them, have other people to deal with certain mundane things that he does not want to deal with. Good Grief.

Thank you very much for your words. I could say something about the senior member from this forum who adores arguing with young women, but meh. I finally went to the supermarket today and had a 60 smth guy hitting on me. LoL.

    Premonition?

ACDC's marketing/social media team is the shit! Look how they are building this thing...watching that video I feel like I'm missing out on perhaps the greatest show of all time. Throw in the live audio and make it about the fans and this is how you do it. This gets me excited to see this incarnation of ACDC.

This team works hard, daily and quick. They have professional cameras all the time, shoot all the shows, after shows, pre-shows. They interview fans. They put the focus on the fans, they make them the center of their universe.

    Unlike.. :max:

Totally get what you mean. I hope for new music as much as you do. While I do think that GN'R could survive as a legacy touring act (and that would just be, as you put it meh .. , what the most die-hard fans are so excited for is new music. I'm hopeful though - I find it highly unlikely that Slash and Duff would have rejoined without the possibility of new music or more collaboration. For me personally, the fact that Slash was willing on to work on the CD material is the biggest ray of hope.

I don't think they can survive as a legacy touring act because people are sick of those songs. Or they would need to change the setlist and add stuff they haven't played in 30 years. Ditch all of the covers, specially LALD  and The Seeker. Why is The Seeker still being played? Axl did that one with the nuGNR since 2013. Too fucking long! Add a new one ffs...

Even though ACDC setlist has some turds on it, I feel like most of their songs are hits, they are fun to listen to, jump, dance... It's a fest going to their shows. But with Gn'R, This I Love is such a drag, Patience, hmm, November Rain :sleeper:
That setlist it's already too boring, too many covers that'd been played for so long it's not fun anymore.

Sucks that the CD songs are so complicated to play live, too long or too depressing. We need a new album that is happy, but not in a silly pop-way, you know.. something really cool and fun and rock n' roll.

I really don't know what to think about Slash and Duff regarding new music. I have the feeling they are back just for the tour. Doesn't Slash have to release an album with Myles?

What really bothered me is when Axl said they didn't have time to rehearse a Prince song to do a tribute in Coachella. What the hell with that?? But he does have time to rehearse 24/7 with AC/DC?

You know those are the things that make me distrust and be hopeless about Gn'R future.

It's his band ? How come he needed a signature from Slash so he could release that very successful dvd? From a hired hand? And Eddie Trunk? Ahaha

Yes, it's HIS band. He needed Slash's signature because he doesn't own the music, but he does own the band and all decisions pertaining to it.

Slash needs Axl's autograph for his successful dvd as well.

Yup, hired hand. Like Melissa Reese with a bit more benefits.

Yes, Eddie Trunk, that fool who actually talks to Axl Rose. Haha.

    Ksks12, the Slashite Axl-hater LOL.

Well you seem to be the one inside. You have no idea what their agreement is yet you talk so vehemently. Reminds me on some other board.

do you have any idea? The one who said "get your facts straight" was you, so you must have said that because you know something we don't know, right?

My facts I didn't get them from being an insider but from what Eddie Trunk said when he went to the Vegas shows and talked to Axl. He said "this is still Axl's band". No mistery, dude.

Maybe, you're right. Maybe it doesn't work better because Axl is in charge of GN'R. (I know many of the diehard Slash fans would hate to admit that it is Axl's band but it is what it is - hired hands or limited partnership or whatever it is, this is still primarily the Axl Rose show).  GN'R has problems. We all know that. I think that we just have to be patient and let things work out by themselves. If it is an unsustainable project, Slash and Duff will leave and nothing that anyone does or says can stop them. I hate to have to advocate being an optimist sometimes, but I just think that after everything we've experienced so far with GN'R, it is better to take things as they come and be optimistic - the best we can hope for is Axl at the helm of two great bands and GN'R in some shape of form reclaiming some old glory. At worst, it just may be the truth that GN'R just muddles along and doesn't release new music - we are pretty used to that anyway. About his voice - it may be true that at this point in time, Axl now has a voice more suited for AC/DC or it could just be that doing those 20+ rehearsals has had its effect. It would be a huge bonus if the truth is that Axl truly realizes that rehearsals help outperform expectations, if it is indeed the lack of rehearsals that held him back with Gn'R. Will any such realization be enough to make him rehearse with GN'R? I don't know. But I sure hope that the new environment that he's a part of helps him make changes to his own rodeo - particularly when it comes to band and fan interaction, rehearsals, releasing new music, improvements in social media, being on time - hell, everything that AC/DC is good at, but GN'R doesn't do well..and if it doesn't well, we might just have to accept that being fans of a dysfunctional band with a tortured genius at the helm, we just can't have it all.

    Fair points but meh...

Without new music GN'R is seriously dead. They can't afford one more tour without new songs. Why are people, GNR fans so excited of seeing AXL/DC?? Because it's fucking Axl Rose singing NEW STUFF for a change! We love that!

My personal opinion is that Axl is higher quality vocal and singer then both of previous singers in AC/DC. Not to be rude or to underestimate Bon nor Brian, but Axl vocal is just on the spot with each song. I never imagined he could do that, but...he did and proved to the world what the balls are! Trust in yourself and give everything you got on stage! I just wait for him to stand up and sing, after him that would be the end of AC/DC or if he has energy enough he can do tours in parallel for some time. Hopwever guys in Ac are old and he has no future with them, and Guns are and will be the greatest ever band in near future!

AC/DC should end their career with Axl as a vocalist. Really, man. They can't undo Axl. It's impossible, they've got the best singer in rock alive. So they should record an album with Axl OR release these shows as a live album and then retire for good.

Make a final good-bye world tour with Axl and give it the best end ever.

I empathize with some of what you are feeling. But let's just give it some time. For all you know, there are long term changes that have happened in Axl's life that have made him more focused and productive (and amenable to working with his former bandmates). I'm in the lot that thinks that AC/DC is going to rub off positively on Axl and that his stint with them is going to have positive spin-offs for his time in GN'R as well. It could be reasonably argued that he might lose his voice, burnout, lose interest in GN'R etc. Valid criticism or concerns, of course. But, we cannot know for sure till we see how things pan out. Keep your chin up and keep the faith, I say! Let's hope for the best.

But Gn'R is already back and we didn't see with them what we saw with AC/DC.

Where are the GN'R interviews? Videos, mag interviews, fans having access to them as a band? The reunion was announced in December, 2015! It's almost half a year already and the ACDC thing, in 2 weeks, has taken over everything we knew before.

What GN'R reunion show got a 5 stars review from the media? We got a bunch of negative crap. And only a few good reviews.

I'm sorry but Slash and Duff are hired hands just like Ferrer and Fortus. They are not in charge of this band, thats why it fails, because its all on Axl's shoulders. Its too much for one man.
He needs a really good manager.
