I really don't have much hope for Guns N' Roses

Axl is functioning GREAT, excellent, with a different band in which he's actually NOT the boss. So this tells me Axl needs to drop the business side of the band, focus on his singing, art, music.

The burden that is Guns N' Roses leaves him without energy for the shows. Why does Axl shine with AC/DC and not with Guns N' Roses?

I don't think when he's back to his band things are going to change, because it's not that, its AC/DC what makes him great. No more AC/DC no more cool Axl.

GN'R is rotten inside.

Any other singer will be a step down for this band. After losing Brian, and Brian not being so good lately, Axl Rose is the highest they could aim and achieve.

A singer from a tribute band will NEVER take them to this level of popularity, publicity, success. Seriously, AC/DC either retires or continues with Axl. Any other option will be a flop.

I understand what you mean by that, though. But his circumstances are different. One thing is to be disabled and not having a choice about it. Different is having the option of getting rid of doing useless stuff that interferes with your mind, your creativity. Like, if you're writting a song or a book or a movie script and you have to do stop that creative flow because you have to go do the groceries, or to the bank, ehh.....

But if you have a boring life in general, probably the supermarket and shopping is something cool to do, for a change. It all really depends on what's your job and your overall circumstances.

I use to work with people who experienced developmental disabilities. I've taught young adults with Down's syndrome or with autism or who were legally mentally retarded how to buy groceries, use s debut card and how to make their own food.

Axl was in his mid to late 20s before he became rich. You think he had servants back when he was 22 years old and broke?

Axl is just like you and me. If he gets a hankering for tacos he is perfectly capable of driving to the store, buying some burger, tomatoes, shells, and cheese.....paying for it.....then driving home and cooking it.  Dude isn't an invalid and he isn't a king sitting around with servants wiping his ass. 

I never compared Axl to a disabled or mentally challenged person. That is YOU hyperbolizing this whole thing and putting certain meaning to my words that I never intended.

So to clarify that, I said what I said because no, I don't think he's like you or me. Yes, he's a human being, but when he goes out, he's a celebrity, something I am not (and I dont think you are either). Axl in the supermarket would cause conmotion, he could not do his own thing without having someone asking him for an autograph, picture or whatever. Look at the pictures in Sevilla or Lisbon. As soon as fans found out where ACDC were rehearsing, they camped outside and waited until the night to greet him, ask for pictures, autographs, etc. Experiencing that everyday of your life must be a drag. I understand why he has so many assistants and people taking care of mundane stuff.

Back in the day, Axl didn't have a home of his own. He crashed at friend's apartments, Slash house, the hellhouse, Vicky Hamilton's. Marc Canter would feed him and the rest of the band. Girlfriends and strippers supported these guys all the way. They probably also cooked and did the laundry for them.

Stop talking about diseases and disabled people. This has nothing to do with that. This is about not having or wanting to waste time with BS.

I don't enjoy going to the grocery store and much less the bank. I'm not interested in having small talk with strangers at the supermarket. There are plenty other ways to make friends. I like to be friends with people who share my interests. I really don't care for mixing up with Beyonce fans or couples with children. I am part of my community in the way I choose to be, not some imposed society rules. And I am a damn good citizen. Pay all my taxes.

Yup, the world has a lot to offer. Axl knows this. He has travelled around the world and met so many cultures, people, like I or you will never dream of. Still, I go out and enjoy the things I love doing, like going to rock concerts, movies, bookstores and cafes.

Every person have their own definition for fun and entertainment. It is not set in stone in some sort of "social bible".

A show is a whole different thing. Not only he has to walk, but move, dance... for 2 hours straight!... Not sure he's at that point right now.

I'm not saying he's stupid. It's just that those things, household things, errands, etc, they all drain your energy. They are time consuming. They kill your creativity. I think AC/DC auditioned the tribute band singers just for political correctness. The Axl deal was sealed from the very minute he called them. Angus is not an idiot.

Yeah, I'm all for Axl joining AC/DC permanently and recording albums with them. GN'R reunion happened too late, specially with Axl touring the GNR catalogue intensely since 2006. If that had not happened, I'd be way more engaged with the reunion thing but I'm bored with those songs. The only songs I go happy about are CD ones, slightly modified by Slash, they sound like new songs and that is VERY exciting.

If I knew GNR has a plan of releasing a new album then I'd be back in excitement, but that seems like a dream right now. 

We've seen Axl with ACDC giving interviews, talking about music, his challenge in singing... Of course, all that makes you feel like he's more ready to work with them than with Slash and Duff.

Axl has talked more during ACDC shows than he did with recent GNR shows. I think only in Mexico he let himself go and even try Spanish, but the rest of them he never communicated that much with the audience. 

The reunion in 2015 was already a loud secret, so that should be a separate option. 

Now, Axl fronting AC/DC, that one NO ONE saw it coming! I still remember people here saying it was the biggest bullshit on earth 

p.s.: in 2015 the ACDC thing wasn't even a rumor.

well he has to do the GN'R Not in This Lifetime Tour but after that I think I already read he says he will stay with AC/DC. I am very conflicted on that!

If Guns N' Roses will not release new material then there's no use for them, really. Axl should join AC/DC inmediately and record an album. This amazing voice won't last for too many years, so take advantage of it, of the great band AC/DC is and do something great.

Now if there are plans with GN'R other than touring, well, go back to that.

Axl is total success with AC/DC. No one in their sane mind would let this guy go now
