I also thought the excuse was lame (which led me to think things among them are not as cool as they seem) because these guys are professional musicians, they should know better. But probably they didn't want to get slammed for covering Prince the wrong way. Axl doesn't look to me like a Prince fan, if he was going to cover Purple Rain and it's not perfect then he would be criticized until his death.

What would be rad is Axl playing that Estranged from Illusions Outtakes, which is a demo of the song, piano only.

Problem I see is that it seems he can't sing and play at the same time, such hard long songs, that's why he goes weak during November Rain.

Estranged is really long and he'd get tired if he had to do that one and then also,Nov Rain. If I had it my way I'd get rid of November Rain but oh well, contracts are contracts

I joined  the Guns n Roses fan club in the '90s and that was crap too although we did get a credit card type membership card which I've still got. They seem incapable of running a fan club that the fans deserve, I don't know why as other bands and artists manage it.

Wow, I can totally relate to what most of you have written here. I joined when digital membership was only $10 so I feel I haven't lost a lot of money but I was active in the community, participated in contests and stuff, had friends, could talk to a lot of people and now all of a sudden the shit is gone without warning.

Not happy at all with this situation, it is extremely disrespectful because we paid for it and some people even have $50 memberships! I am thankful now I didn't fall in that silly competition there was over there about who was the most loyal fan buying the most expensive membership. Now look at where it all is gone!

Also, why aren't they posting the pictures Kat Benzova takes? She took one of the whole band at the Troubadour's back door and we never saw that one. What's going on?

I adore him for trying to be friendly to the audience, for caring, for taking the time to learn that and having the balls to say it. I will never understand people who make fun of other people learning a new language or making an effort to speak other tongues... Maybe it is their own insecurities?
