Opax
did you watch either of the videos? give them a chance at least!Fair call, Ill give them a shot.First song was kind of boring, this song would be nothing without its celebrity packed video.Second song was decent, intriguing lyrics not digging the christian sentiments though, anyone who claims to wear a crown of thorns obviously thinks highly of themselves. Doc Lovett
Most of his music sounds the same. Sorry have to be honest. Most artists have a pretty recognizable style, have you heard MOST of his 50 year recording career to make that harsh a statement? droezle
Johny C. is a great singer and a great performer. Recently i bought the Live at San Quentin box (2 cd's,1dvd). Great to see how he interacts with the inmates. 1 of my favourite songs from that cd/ dvd is San Quentin. He shows some guts there to play this song in front of the prisoners. Some of my favourite songs: Big river, I still miss someone,Folsom prison blues,A boy named Sue,Wanted man,Ring of fire,Walk the line,Orange blossom special,HurtThis is a funny clip where Johnny Cash covers Elvis: Edited August 12, 2007 by droezle
Morten..
I love Johnny Cash. Such a great singer with so much emotion in his voice. The last 5 albums he made are very good IMO. I also like the two live albums from Prisons.

And he had some deadly songs, but come on, he wasn't a good singer.

ffrankwhite
i do like him but, in terms of his younger audience, im sorry but dying was the best thing that happened to him. i think Hank Williams was a million times better in every way possible.
