Shifting directors but did you see Enter The Void by Gaspar Noe? been dying to check it out, preview looks insane. His last movie Irreversible was one of the most jarring, disturbing things ive ever seen

Enter The Void is quite an experience. I recommend it.

Excellent. Ive heard of people so uncomfortable theyve left screenings. Is it that intense?

I can see why people would walk out if you went in not knowing what to expect. There's explicit sex and one scene in particular involves some very experimental camera work. At 2 and a half hours long it's probably not for everyone.

The plot itself isn't that enthralling but it's worth watching for the visuals alone.

I saw it today, like Nobodys Fault said it is an experience, a visual and atmospheric one, but it gets tedious and maybe too repetitive, especially the parts when you see the city from above and the camera going straight into lamp lights, or bright objects several times, showing me only a white light in the screen for like 2 minutes or something, i was like noooo not again damn!! and the last scenes are like a psychedelic porn movie.

For me it was not intense. Uncomfortable? yes it was, but because it was sooo slow... If you're going to watch it, do it in a dark room with a big TV and full volume, they say you have to see this film stoned or to have had experience with drugs to appreciate it more.

Superbad is one of the big 4. Stepbrothers, Hangerover, Semi pro, Superbad.

you are the best.

red was all kinds of fun. turn off your brain and just go with it. i loved malkovich.

i kind of liked devil too. m. night shamalonononon usually pisses everyone off, and the religious tint didnt help any, but i just tried to make the best of a bad situation on that one. i enjoyed it. love the dude from that johnny knoxville special olympics movie too, when the fuck did we get ice cream?

Saw Black Swan today. Better than I thought. It was something a little different. Worth a watch IMO.

Saw that tonight with my girlfriend...

I had absolutely no idea what it was going in to the theatre (hadn't seen any previews or read anything about it, only heard her mention it), and it didn't really occur to me to ask what it was about til we were in the seats, aha :tongue2:

Not bad, though. Not really my type of movie and it was pretty predictable, but it wasn't too bad...

Just putting this out there.

Great Teacher Onizuka and The Last Airbender are the two worst movies I've ever seen (which is a shame because the tv shows rocked)

Airbender was almost worse than Jennifers Body. Add Congo and accidental tourist to that list.

Has anybody seen The Fighter? I wanna see it but it seems like it's too late to see it in theaters but too early for it to even close to being released on DVD.

I thought it would just be a combination of Rocky and The Wrestler, two excellent movies, but I thought it would just be a generic boxing movie.

I've only heard good things about it though.

Anybody have a critique on it?

The Eagle Has Landed

Most of those are really great films and it's cool that you plan on watching them 'cos they're practically all essentials. As for The Eagle Has Landed, I really recommend you read the novel first if you haven't already, it's miles better than the film is (even though the movie is alright to begin with) but I think one would enjoy it a lot more after having read it.

I havn't read the novel yet but i've just checked Amazon and I could pick it up for like 6 pounds, think I'll order a copy. Thanks for the heads up.

I went without knowing much about it too but liked it.

This is just me being weird but a lot of the way it was filmed and edited made me feel uncomfortable. Like the emphasis they put on certain things and nosies (don't want to go into detail and spoil the movie for others). A few times I thought I was going to pass out
