SunnyDRE
And they both borrowed heavily from My Bloody Valentine's Loveless.I give the Cranberries a little more credit, though, as that is the only song in their whole catalogue that sounds like that. i mean, it even kinda sticks out on that album. That album is borderline GREAT, by the way.......All Killer and maybe one song that is filler. As for the Pumpkins (which i like), Billy Corgan heard Loveless and whacked all over it. Dead Flower
My Bloody Valentine has been on my to-do list for ages.I made another shocking discovery today. Blixa Bargeld was one of Nick Cave's Bad Seeds.

James Bond
Sally by The Foxboro Hot Tubs (Green Day) has the same riff as Chinese Democracy by Guns N' Roses.I win. That one's kind of funny. It's a common chord progression (a song like TNT by AC/DC or I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness aren't too far off from using the same idea, as are many other songs), but damn, that one's right on in terms of timing (the last chord of the riff is different than Chinese Democracy though).
