TheFormerSoul
Sorry if this has been discussed before.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_hjc7QAaxwIs there any, confirmation that these vocals were re-recorded in the early 2000's? Iv'e read up on a few rumors that Axl indeed replaced many vocal tracks on these. The clip above has audio from "pretty tied up" and listening to it it sounds like the vocals were done in studio...not only that, but there are sections where you can hear Axls voice reaching near "mickey mouse" like qualities. His voice sounds, a bit different, 2002 esque.just curious Edited October 27, 2010 by TheFormerSoul
bacardimayne
Most of the album's vocals were recorded in 98. It's pretty much proven by the outro of Rocket Queen. The rumor is that these are the same vocal tracks he used on the re-recorded AFD.
Nichostardust
Estranged proves it. Chek out thr bootleg in tokyo 92 and You'll hear the intro " tonight's Happy song...kinda like" and you may recognize that the sing in libe era is totally defferent
Allen8R
Yes as you may imagine since this album was released 11 years ago it's been discussed to death. There is a pinned thread found here, stating that at least 1/3 of the album is re-recorded and here discussing the re-recorded vocals in further detail.
