Encore
yes i know Slash is not in Guns N' Roses anymore, but this is also about a current member as well. Legendary guitarist Slash was a guest on yesterday's (Friday, November 5) edition of "Die Oliver Pocher Show", a German late-night talk show hosted by comedian Oliver Pocher. During the interview, Pocher surprised Slash by showing him a five-minute parody video featuring a German actor playing the role of GUNS N' ROSES lead singer Axl Rose who was taking his dog, named Slash, out for a walk. The VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist, who was visibly unamused to see the clip, later tweeted, "Good times in Cologne. Only I wasn't too pleased with the Axl parody on 'Oliver Pocher Show'. That wasn't too cool."Slash's appearance on "Die Oliver Pocher Show" can be viewed below. (Note: The above-mentioned Axl Rose parody clip can be seen starting around the 5:50 mark.)Slash told a New York City radio program on October 29 that GUNS N' ROSES would "have to do things way differently than we did" back in their early Nineties heyday if the original lineup was to ever reunite. Slash explained, "It seems like it would be a lot of fun to do, just go back out there, and it seems like a relatively simple idea and there's a ton of fans out there that would love to see it. It'd be cool. But we'd have to do things way differently than we did in '91, '92, '93 and whatever . . . And I don't think that's changeable. That whole production would have to tighten up and be like a real working band, and I don't think that's salvageable."Slash added that any reunion would depend on singer Axl Rose's willingness to do it, saying, "I know everybody's around, but there has been no conversation, like, 'Let's get the band back together.' If everybody wanted to do it and it was very clear amongst us, (it) means we would have to clean up some personal stuff, which we haven't even begun that."Slash's comments on the radio show were sparked by bassist Duff McKagan's recent appearance with GUNS N' ROSES — his first in 17 years — during a London gig by the band, at which he played on five songs.Slash said about Duff's appearance, "It was cool . . . he just sort of kept me posted through the day and at one point he said he was going down to the venue with Axl. And I was, like, 'Wow!' 'Cause a lot of years have gone by."Although Axl seems to have good relations with McKagan and former guitarist Izzy Stradlin, Slash explained why he thinks Axl still does not want to associate with him. "I think there's some deep-seated stuff there," he said. "And it really can only come down to what was going on at the time when I finally said, 'I've gotta go.' And I think there was a certain sense of abandonment there."
Spoon87
Pocher is probably the worst "comedian" of the last 10 years in Germany. Nobody really gives a shit about him and his insulting, tasteless "humour". Slash should've just stood up and walked away (or just don't be guest on this show). chevelle
The skit was incredibly lame.Yeah, seriously. I don't give two shits if you make fun of someone I like, but at least do it right and actually make it funny. They could've at least had someone that sounded somewhat like Axl. Amir
Wow that was a lame attempt at humour. Not saying that because I'm a humourless Axl obsessive, I think you can find humour in anything (one of my favourite recent films was Four Lions, which is about suicide bombers), but this was just referencing and cheapshots, like those shitty Epic Movie/Date Movie/Meet the Spartans 'films'. Binge_And_Slash
I actually found the funniest part was when Slash told Oliver Pocher that he'll hear from Axl!

iftheworld
Slash is really pushing for Axls' approval. The skit in a sense sounds funny, but I'm not going to watch it.
Vincent Vega
Slash doesn't realize that he helped create a lot of the media's negative image of Axl, and thinks Axl's anger with him only comes from 1996.Axl's anger I imagine comes more from Slash twisting stories about the break up for years AFTER 1996 and painting Axl as some kind of devil in the press while Axl was busy with lawsuit after lawsuit. guns_and_rust
Why does Slash do appearances like this?If he had done any homework about the show, he would have known the nature of the host, who clearly irritates him.

wasted
To me this is another example of slash talking about a reunion which seems to make it sound possible and all up to axl. Meanwhile dj is talking new album. If there's a plan can someone put it in writing with no long words.

Spoon87
Slash should've gone to TV Total instead, Stefan Raab knows how to handle celebrities. He even was on stage with Kid Rock a few days ago, and had awesome moments with Kid Rock, Eminem, Rihanna and 50 Cent, for example.
