loko Posted July 2, 2011 Share Posted July 2, 2011 I have to agree with first post of this topic.Well, Ashba is very similar to Slash, both of them are good guitarist, with really good technique but they aren't unique (like Buckethead, Finck and not from GNR: Nick McCabe, Bernard Butler etc). Slash and Ashba rather base on image and some kind of stereotype of rock star, that's why they are so popular (especially Slash). They're good writers but only in generic rock song, they're lacking in creative and writing more ambitious and complicated songs.That's why I love Robicn Finck and Buckethead, they have own style but they could play everything and leave own mark in it.
