The recording of SCOM also sounds so dated....

lmao

chinese democracy sounded dated before the album had even come out

:rofl-lol:

+1 :D

Aren't you the same person?

Anyways, I mentioned Better because of the ad itself, seemed more fitting - not because Chinese Democracy is better than AFD.

Led Zeppelin II sounds dated too, but that doesn't change the fact that it kicks the shit out of In Through The Out Door ;)

I prefer Led Zep live.

Me too. I perfer early-mid era Zeppelin live, they were on fire IMO from 69-75. The later performances were by no means stellar, especially Plant's voice and Page struggling to reach the bar he set for himself earlier on

Was this for Spanish-language television in the US or was this for Spain?

I saw it in Spain.

I don't know if it will be used in other countries.

no surprise they choose a track from AFD over Chinese Democracy :D

Except now it feels like they're selling a car from 1987.

How about something better?

Now I drive much better

You know I drive better

Now we all drive better!

All that I wanted was ....

Toyota Aris.

people would switch to another channel

and rightfully so

Not a fan of people doing car ads overseas and not doing them in the US. It's almost like they want to hide it, but as Pete Townshend said, “Who gives a fuck if they lost their virginity in the back seat of a car to ‘My Generation’? I don’t give a shit. I put it out there to fucking be heard and sold, and I don’t care how they fucking do it!”

If Bob Dylan can sell his songs to lingerie and insurance companies... The Beatles don't license their original songs, but have had people cover them in commercials.

Prince gave Corvette his symbol to use in their car ad. After all, they didn't bitch when he wrote "Little Red Corvette".

Must've been a million dollar payday.
