Nick85
Even though Axl & Slash fought the release, they still make money off the chart success, right??

Only? I'm not too sure how acquainted you are with Billboard, but that's really high for an a decade-old Greatest Hits album...

Apollo
thats all fine and good personally, but for the entity in question, chart success is way nicer.Chart position is a fickle thing. The only time fans say that sales numbers don't matter is when their favorite band's album didn't sell well. But if that same album would have sold 10 million copies or went to number one....then they would use those number to brag about how great the album was. TiedHands
Hot Topic girls who hear 'Sweet Child' and like it are gonna buy the GH, not 'Appetite'. Soccer moms who want to listen to 'KOHD' and 'November Rain' again are just gonna buy the GH, instead of buying the Illusion albums. It's not a bad cd by any means, especially for casual fans. It has all the hits...

It's interesting to some of us and somewhat exciting to see GNR getting national attention, though. I for one am happy when I see stuff like this.
