Vincent Vega
Does anyone else wish that GN'R had at some point done a few Pop style albums or songs? What I mean is basically like Pop Meets GN'R. Think of The Rolling Stones' Pop Period with Brian Jones...Those kind of tunes but as done by GN'R. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBDocCjO3aA Edited January 12, 2013 by Vincent Vega

jman2000
No! I really dont think it'd be good. I want to hear more of the style they have done with Chinese Democracy and whatever they had in 1999 like Checkmate.

liers
No. It's GnR, GnR is a rock band. If you want a rock band that turned into a pop band, listen to bon jovi.
AlterL
No thanks, Axl is way to good for songs like that one. I personally never liked "JAS" nothing against it, but is not a great track, nothing I would want to hear when I wake up in the morning.

stumbleine
OP,what do you mean with "stones pop period with Brian Jones"?that certainly wasnt a "pop period"..it was the blues..rock n roll..you seem to have singled out two poppy songs from that period. dalsh327
They've done songs with pop hooks and singles on the radio, so they had their pop period.
Roush
GN'R wasn't pop? What about "Don't Cry", "Sweet Child O'Mine", or "Yesterdays"?
Apollo
Sure. The more music the better.I am an Axl Rose fan, so I would love to have more music by him. I feel sorry for people who are so close minded that they can't see past general genres and stereotypes. I would love to hear Axl sing all types of music. Pop, country, blues, gospel, metal, etc.

Kill Devil Hill
I actually think Appetite was a really poppy album. I mean, yeah, it's rooted in hard rock, but the melodies had elements of pop and dance. To answer the question, I don't really care as long as the music was good. wasted
If the did a Black n Blue, Some Girls then a Undercover with Izzy that coulda worked. Maybe they areooking at doing a Sticky Fingers next. Jelly Donuts could be the title.

The only song I might agree has got an element of dance must be the rhythms in rocket queen.
