14 on fire? I don't get it . Cool name though.

And I doubt it'll change much from 50 and Counting, but that's alright

14, as in 2014.

Ah, well that makes plenty of sense. Wasn't thinking! You going to a show in Aussie, Powerage?

I like the Stones, but not nearly enough to travel for them...especially given that the tickets themselves are an arm and a leg :tongue2: But if these Europe rumors become reality, I'll try and catch a gig while I'm over there for Maiden ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing an arena show, and they'd prob be one of the few acts I wouldn't mind seeing seated. I'm guessing Stones will be playing Yas Arena where GNR and Metallica played, that's all standing, weather should be nice in February, though. The Hyde Park gig really was disappointing, and I was especially gutted to find out afterwards I could have gone for half price because of some council discount. It was a nice day overall, though, good weather and I had a friend and jug of Pimm's to keep me company. Gary Clark Jr. was cool, too, hadn't heard of him before.

There was some local band called The Carnabys at the Hard Rock Calling Springsteen show the week before, and their Gimme Shelter performance was better than that of the Stones at Hyde Park.

For now I'm just excited about NIN in 2014. Only other thing that could get me super excited is a ChiDem II tour or a GNR reunion.

Well, they just added dates in Japan, Singapore, and China. Seems like they are doing 3 nights at the Tokyo Dome, pretty neat!

Adding all the shows up, that is 14, and I am almost certain that the next places on their list would be either a European or South American Tour

Sorry to keep bumping this!

Anyways, I got Sweet Summer Sun for Christmas. I know a lot of you guys didn't like it and I know Hyde park was considered the weakest set of gigs from 50 and counting but, shit...

I don't see it! I think this concert is really great. Some of it annoyed me like all the stupid crowd shots on Ruby Tuesday, but overall I think they sound really great. Midnight Rambler and Gimme Shelter are particular highlights. I'll be disappointment if this is the only gig released on DVD/Blu Ray of 50 and counting since I want a box set or one of the USA gigs from last year released.

Anyways, I really like this DVD

There's still a rumour over here that they might headline the Pinkpop festival. On one hand I'd be bummed because I'd rather have them do a solo show at a venue like Goffertpark. On the other hand, at least on this date I'll be in the country! ;-) I'll be in the US and Canada from 13-6 until 4-7, and I'd hate to miss the Stones because of that!

Holy fuck that's almost a dream set for me, just sub maybe bitch for brown sugar (love bitch though) and jjf for stay me up

Was Mick taylor there?

Nope.

Finally the Stones are in Paris for the rehearsals of the "14 on Fire" Tour.

We were expecting them to start last week, everything was ready in the studio for a few days now just waiting for them to turn up.

The band arrived on saturday, Charlie and Ronnie from London on Eurostar, Keith on sunday from the US of A, from reports: he was on the same plane as Tenniswoman Serena Williams.

Chuck Leavell and Darryl Jones are here too, no one else...

Of course Mick Jagger is here , he was the last one to get into the studio,as usual, and waved to fans on his way in and out (from what I've been told).

Jan Smeets, director of the Dutch Pinkpop festival has said on the radio that he's almost sealed the deal with the Stones. He said only Mick's signature was still missing and that he expect the deal to be final within 48 hours.

I've read the same thing goes for a gig in France.

Another great list of tunes but I am a bit worried... where the hell is Taylor?

They've confirmed he'll be a guest at every gig. He's not showing up for all the rehearsals, because they don't need to go over Midnight Ramble a million times I'm sure.

There's some tasty stuff in that second rehearsal setlist.

Holy fuck, I would LOVE getting Heartbreaker, Love in Vain, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, and Far Away Eyes at a show. That'd be just killer

And cool to see some Steel Wheels and Bridges to Babylon in there
