Black Sabbath
I think Magnolia was the first Paul Thomas Anderson movie I had seen and I really enjoyed it, but I'd like to see it again. After that was The Master, then recently I watched There Will Be Blood and Punch Drunk Love was tonight.I've seen bits of Boogies Nights but have yet to see the full thing, and I have not seen Hard Eight.I've enjoyed all of the other movies with There Will Be Blood possibly being my favorite, so I'm looking forward to watching the other two. Lithium
I've seen bits of Boogies Nights but have yet to see the full thing, and I have not seen Hard Eight. You need to see Boogie Nights as soon as possible. Hard Eight was nothing special, as far as I can recall.I saw a HBO documentary on Bobby Fischer today on Netflix. Really interesting.
Black Sabbath
Hard Eight was OK. Easily the weakest P. T. Anderson movie, but then again it was his first really. It was kind of like a shorter Tarantino movie. Kind of reminded me of Jackie Brown for some reason.
wasted
Tarantino movies like Pulp are kind of neo noir movies, plus anything with Samuel L Jackson is basically a Tarantino movie.
Black Sabbath
You're right Anything mainly duologue driven could be a Tarantino flick. Killing Them Softly could have been QT.

Killing Them Softly could have been QT.But I did think that about Hard Eight. Actually around that time there were a lot of movies like this, sleazy low lives talking.Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead, Two Days in the Valley and Killing Zoe are a few I've watched recently. I like those kind of movies for some reason, I'm not sure what they are crime, neo noir maybe.

Black Sabbath
Capote was pretty good, and Hoffman's performance was great, but I couldn't see myself watching the film again.
