Davis is just in a brief, conventional 'girlfriend' role. There is some interesting topical, polemical, things to discuss in this film but it suffers from poor direction (like a lot of the early talkies)Another Man's Poison (1951)Film noir with an undercooked script. Davis carries the film.Phone Call from a Stranger (1952)Definitely the best of the three. Superb morality tale based around an airline crash. Make sure you watch this if you have not already (as I said, it is on youtube).PSAlso watched,A Royal Scandal.Period farce about Catherine the Great with Tallulah BankheadCaesar and CleopatraClaude Rains and Vivian Leigh.
