Estranged Reality
Yeah, I really do hope Affleck sort of rubs off on him during production.
Ace Nova
Nothing against Bale but (like others have said) his career was essentially launched because of Batman....unlike RDJ, who was already a mainstream celebrity before Iron Man.Iron Man revived RDJ's career. The biggest role he had before that was probably Zodiac. In more recent years, maybe - but RDJ's career filmography trumps Bale's...by a mile. Plus, RDJ's acting style dominates his characters while Bale's acting style is much more submissive to his characters.
wasted
I think there will be a backlash againgst this Batman movie. Even nerds have to be sick of this now. Christian Bale didn't even die when he sat on a detonanted nuke now Bennifer is Batman. I guess if it's cartoony kind of thing then ok. But if Ben is low talking in a bulletproof suit it's going to suck. who plays that butler now? Deniro?

Let's be real here he's become a Johnny Depp of sorts he does Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes.
Powerage5
Looks like Bryan Cranston has signed a multi-picture deal to play Lex Luthor, starting with the Superman/Batman flick in 2015.And just like that, I'm now somewhat interested. Fuck.Me too. Damn.

RussTCB
I heard Detroit is on the short list of places they may shoot. It'll be cool to go downtown and see some of the sets and what not if so.

sweetness
I don't like Cranston as Lex Luthor at all.yeah, let's be real here; if Cranston didn't play a bald man on a hit TV show he would not have been casted as Lex Luthor, everything else about him just doesn't really fit the role imo. sweetness
I guess theres rumors that Nolan abandoned the project as EP, not sure if this has been confirmed though...
Spuffy78
Then again if the internet had it's way with casting we would have had Crispin Glover as The Joker or Johnny Depp as The Riddler. bacardimayne
Couldn't care less if Cranston "fits" Lex Luthor or not. Movies and TV shows staying true to the comic book isn't always a good thing. Cranston will make a fantastic villain.
luciusfunk
Then again if the internet had it's way with casting we would have had Crispin Glover as The Joker or Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter. I was about to say Depp did play the Mad Hatter.

Guest NGOG
They deliberately cast somebody like Cranston to engage the mass of people intrigued by Breaking Bad. They cast Ben Affleck for a similar reason, to engage the Hollywood enthusiasts. It's going to be a very successful cash grab. wasted
Cranston is kind of the Mickey Rourke of Batfleck v Superman. Also like Smith said, at the moment an 8 year old sees R downey Jr and says Iron Man and sees Affleck and says who? This will turn Affleck into a household name. Guest NGOG
Why do you think an actor cares about being indentifiable to children? When they look upon Ben Affleck they aren't recognizing him as a prolific actor, they're merely recnognizing the person in the cape. wasted
Its the only way up for his career in a way. Hes won an oscar for Argo. Hes directed, been lead man. Now hes fucking Batman. Downwy just does it for the money. Same with Affleck really accept he really likes batman.
