Iron MikeyJ
Well that's why I think or should I say "hope" they make spinoff and in between films. I just don't have any faith on a sequel of the sequel trilogy. Think about it like this, how many times are the 3rd film in a series considered great? Not very often. Usually they tend to be series killers; Alien 3, Scream 3, Superman 3, Godfather 3, jaws 3, I could go on. But that's essentially what 10,11,and 12 would be. I'm will go a head and call it now, if they go beyond episode 9, it will be worst than the prequels. Which that means were heading towards just bad films. I hope it doesn't happen... ZoSoRose
Well that's why I think or should I say "hope" they make spinoff and in between films. I hope it doesn't happen...I think a X, XI, and XII could work just fine. They would need a decent break in between IX and X, but why not continue the story? It can deal with an older Rey, Fin, and Poe and new characters. The Star Wars universe is huge, so they can do a lot with the story lines. I definitely think something big will happen in between those two trilogies to give us a break, and a new prequel trilogy would be the easiest/smartest thing. An Old Republic trilogy could be awesome, and it would allow Daisy, John, and Oscar to age.Good idea or not, I am just remaining optimistic because it is way more likely to happen than not. Disney spent 4 billion dollars on the franchise. Sure, spin-off movies, video games, books, toys, etc go a long way, but they don't top the "feature" movies.EDIT- and just look at their Marvel plans. Its insane, why would they do anything less for Star Wars which is arguably even bigger? Edited March 13, 2015 by ZoSoRose
Ragnar
I reckon this one will be as bad as prequels. Star Wars should have ended long time ago.
luciusfunk
A year and a half in between 7 and 8? Hey I love SW, but that seems awfully soon, Lucas always made us wait 3 years or so in between film. Sometimes I wish (like with lotr and hobbit) that they would of given a little more breathing room in between films. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but I don't want Disney to do anything beyond 9 (except for spinoffs), so hurrying to get to 9 just seems weird to me...No way Disney stops. We'll definitely get X, XII, and XIII eventually. I could see another prequel trilogy before that thoughNo XI?

ZoSoRose
2 weeks until Trailer 2!!!!!Man, its going to be a long wait! What is everyone hoping to see?I want to see Luke, Han, and Leia (briefly). Seeing Luke would basically throw the "cameo" rumor out the window, too.I also want to see more Kylo Ren
Powerage5
When/where was it announced we're getting a new trailer in 2 weeks?
Daedalus
When/where was it announced we're getting a new trailer in 2 weeks?I saw that on IMDb's page.Back in February, we reported that Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy were going to kick off Star Wars Celebration “in a big way.” We can now exclusively report that the kick off will involve the first poster and a new trailer. While their premiere isn’t too surprising, it’s still nice that they’ll be sharing both with the many fans that will be attending. In fact, overflow theaters will be available so that plenty of attendees will be able to get a look at the poster and new trailer before anybody else. Although the new Force Awakens trailer will be attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron, it’s safe to assume that it will probably be appearing online sometime between April 16th and May 1st. The question is how long will Disney wait to release the trailer after it premieres at Star Wars Celebration?http://www.imdb.com/news/ni58475008
Facekicker
Trailer description from makingstarwars.net (they were right about the first trailer)The teaser runs at about a one minute and fifty seconds, just under two minutes. Han, Leia, Artoo and Threepio We do see Yavin in the teaser. We see a shot of Finn with a blue lightsaber. There is a shot of Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), the chrome Stormtrooper, very briefly. We do see Kylo Ren’s helmeted face. We see Poe Dameron shoot down a TIE fighter. A shot of Finn and Poe walking past one another at the base. Rey is in a few shots. There is a shot of Poe Dameron, Artoo-Detoo, See-Threepio, and a CGI character (Rose). BB-8 socketed in the back of an X-wing. Kylo Ren’s Imperial shuttle flys by with TIE escorts to the Star Destroyer (it is the one MakingStarWars.net wrote about) Star Destroyer(s) The Falcon X-wing fighters flying in a V-shape formation. Darth Vader’s helmet sitting on a podium. no Serkis. No Luke. They also said a teaser poster will be out this month.
ZoSoRose
Sounds like a great trailer but it does more or less confirm the Luke rumor Ah well, VIII isn't far away. I'm sure he'll have a moment in that film
Facekicker
I wouldn't be so quick to buy into the rumor that he has only one scene at the end. He spent a lot of time on set and was in Ireland for filming too. More likely the trailer is setting up the film in terms of the "Search for Luke" aspect and his absence only serves to heighten the mystery. It makes a lot of sense.

ZoSoRose
Kylo looks awesome in yesterday's leaked photos!I wonder if they are doing away with the Vader-esque helmet and the cyborg/Grave Robber look. Or maybe he gets disfigured or gets a new helmet laterOr maybe the Grave Robber is a different character?7 days!
