luciusfunk
What's your point? I don't care who wrote the song, the bottom line is Freddie sang them, and when Axl sang those songs he did them damn well. I don't understand what your point is?Well WWRY isn't a particularly difficult song to sing. And since when was Sail Away Sweet Sister sung by Freddie (apart from one line)? That one was by Brian. Bruno P.
Ya if Freddie sang wttj or ycbm it would sound too pretty, too clean. He doesn't have the grime in his voice that Axl does. I'm sorry but wttj with freddie would be awful.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZQUVZKrH3I Edited March 24, 2014 by Bruno P.

Bruno P.
Yeah, The Prize fucking rocks.Awesome solo.Yup, one of those great things about Queen is that even though Freddie's vocals were top notch, most of the time there would be an equally great rhythm section, backing vocals and a proper (amazing) guitar solo. luciusfunk
Damn where is this video from? I didn't know they had anything this high quality that wasn't officially released.
Georgy Zhukov
There seems to be a ton of footage out there that is waiting to be pieced together. That is why on the Rainbow release they are asking for the rare footage to see if anyone has them.
Strange Broue
Frontmanwise: AxlVocally: FreddieAxl is still my fav rock singer, but voted for Freddie. Even Axl would vote for him, imo
hausofaxl
Hard decision for me But I voted for Axl
DieselDaisy
FredFreddie co-authored 15 studio albums during a 22 year period. Axl has co-authored five albums over a 27 year period. Massive difference. Further, at least six of those Queen albums (QII, SHA, ANATO, ADATR, NOTW and Innuendo) are masterpieces. Only Appetite is a masterpiece.
Georgy Zhukov
I say the first Queen album was a masterpiece or pretty darn close to it.
DieselDaisy
I say the first Queen album was a masterpiece or pretty darn close to it.Yes but you are going to cringe at the lyrics to Jesus. But by all means, chuck it on the list; it is a lot better than Illusion or CD.
luciusfunk
Replace Jesus with Mad the Swine, and baby, you've got a stew goin'.
Georgy Zhukov
Jesus is an interesting song. Freddie being a Parsi Zoroastrian makes it even more interesting. Mad the Swine would have been a better track to close the album with. That song is just beautiful but I guess they weren't satisfied with the recording enough.News of the World is a masterpiece but you can't tell me Get Down, Make Love was any better than Jesus. The music was good though. Freddie's voice fits more styles than Axl's. There are songs only Freddie can pull off and there's songs only Axl can pull off such as YCBM. ChineseDemocracy2004
Having thought about it I chose Freddie.
