I prefer Goodfellas by a wide margin. Casino's in a "good, not great" category for me. Like others have said, it felt long and meandering. I actually didn't care for the cinematography and costumes, I found the colour choices too distracting although I understand the rationale behind them. I also wasn't as big a fan of Sharon Stone's performance or character as many were, I thought the whole storyline with her and James Woods did nothing but suck the life out of the film.

I love Casino. I don't know I'd probably pick Casino to watch. So much more to it. It still has all those elements from Goodfellas but on a bigger scale. So many amazing scenes in Casino, outside of just Pesci fucking people up. Goodfellas will always be the classic but Casino is a little overlooked.

My take on it is I've watched both movies into the ground. I mean i REALLY have, as a kid i had em on like, heavy rotation, disgusting amounts of viewing. And my conclusion is based on that. Goodfellas is so much more tighter? There are things you could add or subtract to Casino but Goodfellas, as a piece, is just flawless, end to end, there is literally nothing superfluous to that film.
