netcord
Well done - and definitely some very mature lyrics from a young Axl Rose which speaks to how intelligent beyond his years he was in some respects.
dando
So if GNR do another 'rose bar' , cuckoo club or whatever the bar was called in Paris where an acoustic gig was done, civil war can be done !

maynard
I love Rise Against (their old stuff at least, stopped paying attention). Good cover.
Caught in a Coma
Great cover. Suprised he didn't use the raspy voice he uses on their records.

thelostrose
Wow, awesome cover!!Lightyears ahead of the Slash/Myles-Version, which was posted some days ago. Edited August 6, 2014 by thelostrose
combos
Wow, awesome cover!!Lightyears ahead of the Slash/Myles-Version, which was posted some days ago.Axl's version has vocals that are light years ahead of any version. Slash's version has guitars that are light years ahead of any version. The original band has the entire version that's light years ahead of any other version. They're better together than apart.
Tyson
This version absolutely gives me a deeper appreciation for the lyrics. Very profound and powerful.
RussTCB
Not enough rasp.Yes, but from what I understand the lead singer was in a good mood.

combos
Lacking in rasp though :-/I stopped listening to GNR covers after hearing Sheryl Crow murder SCOM. For some reason, no one can do Axl's vocals justice. His voice is too unique.
moreblack
You don't have to sing it like Axl to sing it well. Axl doesn't do KOHD like Dylan or LALD like Macca.
metallex78
Can't say I like that at all. Sounds like a lame emo style version of the song. Makes it sound like Coldplay, and I fucking hate Coldplay.
The Real McCoy
Not familiar with Rise Against at all, but this dude reminds me of Aaron Lewis from Staind for some reason.
prettytiedup88
Listened to this quite a few times since the first listen. I love it.What it demonstrates is the quality of the song, both lyrically and melodically. A demonstration of how a brilliant song can be played in a multitude of ways/arrangements and hold up. Its been in my top 5 GNR tracks since I first heard it and this is a great cover that does it justice. spliff
I prefer to see someone do their own version than just try to sound like axl.. even if they're good at it like juan
Klay
Crap, sounds like something you would expect from someone asking for some coins at the subway or something, just a guy banging some chords and singing the song.
moreblack
I'm not sure if I prefer Hoobastank's cover than this guy's.
Nosaj Thing
Cool cover. Honestly, it didn't need 'rasp' because the guy made it his own.
