slash23579
Really cool video I found of Yesterdays being performed in 1988. Edited October 16, 2014 by slash23579

Powerage5
This is new to me too - really cool rendition. I'd love a stripped down version like this to be officially released.
magisme
That's awesome. I listen to something like this for the first and I'm immediately reminded how Axl's voice and Slash's guitar were made for each other. It's just a shame how it all had to go down, whatever the truth is.Thanks for sharing.
ludurigan
I'm kinda shocked to realise how little you guys seem to know about GNR when GNR was GNR.I can't believe all you guys have never heard this one! It's been circulating for years...From GNR ON TOUR = http://www.gnrontour.com/setlistalm88.htm01.14.88 - Coconut Teaszer, Hollywood, CAset: I Got A Line On You, Wishing Well, Communication Breakdown, Scarred For Life, Sentimental Movie, Yesterdays, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Born To Be Wild, Honky Tonk Womenaudio/video recording?: audionotes: This band is known as the Drunk Fux - Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, Steven, West Arkeen & Del James. The first performance of 'Yesterdays,' Axl mentions they will try to record it next week. Axl sings lead on 'Yesterdays' & 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door,' and shares vocals on 'Honky Tonk Women.'I tried to find a download link but I couldn't find any, sorry. The entire show is terrific, specially "I Got a Line On You" (a Spirit/Randy California cover) and "Scarred For Life" (a Rose Tattoo cover), which are great songs. It's just too bad Axl doesn't sing all the songs.
Satanisk_Slakt
That's cool. I've always wished the band would have released a stripped down version of the song. The one that ended up on the album is horribly bad. Something like this or the acoustic demo would have been superb.

Rdeyahlxp
Any recordings of that Rose Tattoo cover, really liked the original song when someone posted it here in a thread a couple of days ago.

Dean
I don't normally complain about anything regarding the bands sound on any of the releases, but I wish Axl had sung that song a lot cleaner than he did on the album version. It's such a great tune both musically and lyrically, I just think that if Axl sang it similar to his voice on Live Era or Chinese Democracy, it would have sounded a lot better. Kater
That's great great song anyway! There is also a demo version from 1986...But...does anyone knows why official video has been removed from youtube (and many other videos with this song) and from videos list on their official site? ludurigan
How is the one on the album horribly bad?I think it's because it's so polished that it almost sounds like Bon Jovi is gonna pop up singing instead of Axl...
Carburetta
Goes some way to explaining why it was this choice of song that Axl sang with West Arkeen during one of the making of videos.

SR_GR
As curious as I am to hear anything new, I would buy a record of some good quality demosand early performances, only delicately remastered to work with the new audio techonology.
