Lynyrd Skynyrd Influence on Guns?

Recommended Posts

pretty sure I read where Slash said "Paradise City" was influenced by Skynyrd but don't have time to search for it.

I gotta go with...

Evidently Tracii Guns claims Slash nicked the riff from that song but as I said I remember Slash claiming the song was influenced by Skynyrd but can't be arsed to go though the 100 plus magazines to find the quote.

Wouldn't surprise me though as much of Rock music in general is nicked from somewhere else. Musicians are a product of their influences IMHO.

But the intro and the lead guitar of PC could really be influenced by LS. So PC is Black Sabbath meets Lynyrd Skynyrd :)
