Izzy has been recording with GNR even during the recent Chinese Democracy sessions. Izzy isn't being turned down. He just doesn't like to tour full time with the band.

i think this is in reference to the thread about to them turning Izzy's amp down in back the the day

That's arguably his best ever look. Sadly, it also reminds you that this 'regrouping' really does need him. You've got the two icons in the bandana and top hat, you've got the punk on bass, then you've got the soul of the band on the rhythm guitar. That perfect recipe is what separates GNR from everyone else, including UYIGNR, NuGNR and now HybridGNR.

It's not "HybridGNR", it's Slash, Duff & Axl with a bunch of hired hands, just like the UYI tour.

Izzy just wants to avoid the circus.

Hybrid only really applies to a mix of old and new Guns. If Fortus, Frank, Pitman had never been in Guns then it would be more like UYI. But it's kind of like the UYI tour in a way.

Richard called it a Combounion in a tweet.

I still think it might be a smoke screen for the classic 5. Or Izzy might join with Fortus as the 3rd guitar.

We might get that classic 5 at some point. In 2017 maybe.

Izzy never recorded with NuGNR. The song Ocean Down or whatever it was, Izzy recorded that way before.

Izzy only recorded with Duff recently. Not For CD.

Izzy and Duff have been recording consistently outside guns since 1997. Look up Izzys stuff, Duff on almost all of it. Izzy is credited on Duffs stuff... If anything that's the closest you are getting to classic GnR for the past 20 years...

Yeah cause the guy who played drums on the Illusion albums and TSI? was a "hired hand". The guy who played drums on the biggest tour they ever did at the height of their fame and played on more official releases than Steven did was just a "hired hand" GTFO.

Technically though, he was exactly that. :shrugs:

technically if a person believes that lame semantic then they are a douche. Yes he was "hired" when the other drummer was fired. Were they just gonna go without a drummer? No. They hired him and he was a major part of Guns N Roses. More so than any replacement that came post 1995. The guy fucking played on 3 official GnR releases and you guys are gonan refer to him as a "hired hand" as if he's like DJ Ashba?
