gnrkoncerti
Great to see ...Every show is such a big event 50000+ people...GNR are really huge now
dontdamnmeuyi2015
My brother is a huge fan of MM, but he never seems to tour the US or ever comes to Dallas, Texas. It's cool that GNR had Michael and his band open for them. Is it still Hanoi Rocks?

Litti
I was really surprised by Axl, his vocals were nothing short of amazing. YouTube videos do not tell the story. Band was LOUD and GREAT, that I can tell you.
rockingfinn
Hello everyone! I'm pretty new here - this is my first post. I went to the concert in Hämeenlinna, and I really liked how the band played yesterday! They were loud and everything went smoothly (besides that little "incident" on Layla). I don't know if someone has mentioned it already, but Rane Raitsikka - former guitarist of Smack - acknowledged Duff wearing a Smack t-shirt on Instagram :-) Edited July 2, 2017 by rockingfinn

nikothebellic
But still really intresting staff about setlist. Kantola is a really lucky venue, I say. The thing is, before the encore, it was a pretty average GnR show in terms of a structure: 24-25 songs on "the main course" and 3 awating on "the desert" with Patience or Don't Cry and Whole Lotta Rosie or The Seeker before Paradise City (like Dublin/Zurich/Hannover etc.) More Likely Patience and The Seeker here. But they've played all of them! The thing is, what a chance could be them to play 29-30 song second gig in a row, when they usually do 27-28 at max? Yeah, cool audiences convinced them to extend concerts in Madrid and Solna, but now it happend just after the Swedish show. And they played Whole Lotta Rosie the 3nd gig in a row, what has never happned before, as well played both Patience and Don't Cry the 2nd gig in a row, and only for the 3rd time in a whole European leg after mentioned Madrid and Stockholm! And now just right on the next show! Taking into considerations some concerns about crowd activity, there may be something more... It's a bit a conspiracy theory, but look closer and think deeper: they've strated for almost an hour late, there were some technical difficulties before November Rain(Axl said it publically), then some ussies in the end - Axl was defenetly speaking through their inside channel about something during Whole Lotta Rosie and as I remember some times before. So, no doubt, that GnR tries to keep high mark of their shows because due to their past experiences every mistake is gonna be discussied heavily. This way, to avoid some 'bad talking" they just ended show in awesome style - playing an amazing encore, combinng some very importaint songs of this tour, which they usually use as alternatives for the encore. It'll be intresting to see what'll happen in Prague then.

I'm just wondering, because I would have loved one but took it for granted they were sold out by the time I arrived around 6pm (plus I figured it would get damaged during the show). Wish there was a way of obtaining one now the day after! I bought mine around 2.30 pm (nr. 71). A bit overlighted picture but couldn't make it better. @ back to the topic What a gig it was - one of the best what I've ever seen and felt! It had some extremely magical moments for me and no doubt it paid off for extra wait. At least the wait was not even close as I saw GNR last time (2006). I was a bit worried how things turn out in live because I've watched some of the live streams before. However it turned out that all my worries were misguided, I don't know why the hell Axl sounds so much better in live than all streams and videos what we see (for example Sweet Child O' Mine & Paradise City). But I guess it is just because being in the crowd - feeling and breething or simply said living the moment. Some bad talking here about audiance, but at least what I saw in "regular" audiance in 7-8 row the crowd was really in to it and song & dance like a last day. Sure there were some "rock polices" around here and there, but they didin't ruin my mood. For example one of these guys helped out a girl (maybe 17 or so) who coudn''t see anything and so he asked people to make room for her so that she could see - and therefore crowd made a way for her. The golden circle is what it is and the crowd might not be the wildest one at far away (near the beer tents) but the regular crowd at least were good enough for a great gig. As everything here is allready said and done - but my personal favorites were Sweet Child O' Mine, Nightrain, Coma, Knocking' on Heavens Doors and suprisingly This I love. All in all even with all the minor issues what others mentioned here before, 10/10 I had a blast - a lot fun and joy while living into it! I would pay and watch again anyday whit out hesitation. But if I could have just one wish what to improve, next time as an arena gig please. Might be posted already but here is a decent longer video (15 songs) from the gig. Couple people next to me where like "what is this" and "what record is this from?" they didn't seem to like the new stuff.

And the beginning of Better, you know, until it actually turns into Better
