Gambit83
We've all seen GNR tribute bands over the years, regardless of where we live. These guys (http://www.gnrtribute.com/) have been doing it for twenty years. They've played with Dizzy and their Axl was used on Howard Stern for song parodies. Fun convo about what goes into being a tribute band for the band we all love. They played a couple songs live in studio too and some vids are up on my podcast page. https://www.facebook.com/TheAFDShow/videos/1512634608863443/ Hope you enjoy. And btw 2 scheduled interviews this Sunday, Constantine Maroulis (new Adler singer/American Idol) and Eric Valentine (producer for Slash's 1st solo record). Questions welcomed for both. BOSSY78
I'll give this a listen later. I've not seen any cover bands live but heard their good. Thanks as always for the great interviews keep them coming. Will have to think a little more on questions.
StrangerInThisTown
For Eric: How far into the process was Slash with Steven Tyler on their unreleased 2010 song before Aerosmiths label cockblocked the collaboration? Was the song already tracked in the studio instrumentally and if so what was the song like? Slash said in a track for track interview the riff from Dirty Girl was written for the 2010 album but not finished, was that maybe it? Is there any other unreleased material from those sessions, demos ? What's his favourite song from that album? What does he think about Slash denying that Ozzys lyrics for crucify the dead are about Axl even though Ozzy himself said so?
