From the context of my original post, you can see why I thought you were saying they filmed everything in high quality like the Ritz, right? Obviously they didn't do that. 20 minutes ago, ruttu69 said: Like you would know that for a fact 😀 What do you mean?
Ninjapie24
They even included the dumb ass screaming for them to play Rocket Queen in the lyrics on the Apple Music version. They even kept screaming it after Axl says they’d be playing patience next
eggers
The quality of the footage. My god. Heaven.

Gunner55
I hate that I'll have to rely on a download to get this dvd. Seen a few songs on YouTube and the quality and shots are some of the best concert footage I've ever seen of any band. Unfortunately I can't justify the $200+ or whatever it is for it.
eggers
Seriously can’t get over the quality of film stock they used. This is high end movie film.
Axl_morris
Watching it now. For those with the blu ray, I don't think the Atmos track is really adding anything? The 5.1 TrueHD is by far the best mix of the 3 audio choices. Edited November 12, 2022 by Axl_morris

I will probably watch again with the Atmos track in full but for my first real full playthrough, I found the 5.1 mix the best.
UncleJosh
Watching this it really is unreal how good the film looks. Some of the best looking live footage by any band I have seen.
Axl_morris
A UHD release will turn it up a notch also. Even if it's just digital only, it's only a matter of time.
UncleJosh
Also it could by a psycho-acoustic trick but I feel the 5.1 mix is better than the stereo. Izzy seems louder and way more easy to pick out. I know our brains will tend to focus on the audio of what is shown on screen so maybe just seeing Izzy play allows my brain to filter it better but I have never heard him this clear. There are times during Bad Obsession where he seems louder in the mix than Slash. Anyone else experience this?
ryanf23
Funny how the demos not included no longer seem to matter lol i got my super deluxe today and the quality of the box and packaging is top notch. Arguments can be made on the cost, but they didn’t put a cheap, rushed set together.

I think its the most radically improved song versus the UYI version, for me. You really see the bones and stonesy grind of what Izzy was going for, versus how it ended up on the album and in 92. MrMojo
202 dollars on amazon US. So you need to buy both cds separately, the box set and then the Japanese versions to get all tracks?
Fanboy
I saw some clips, as a frontman Axl is a beast, he is up there, above the sun, and this is probably not the best show (87-88 show must be awesome to see in this quality), the whole band is amazing.
rockphantom
My UYI SDE CD box arrived a little while ago. It looks so nice sealed. However, I am eager to get into the set and have a look at the book and watch the Ritz BD! Does anyone have advice on safely opening the box for the 1st time? I don't want to damage anything. I should state that the promo sticker on the front states that the Super Deluxe Edition is "Limited Edition". I wonder if Universal learned their lesson with the AFD box and decided to produce fewer UYI Super Deluxe Edition sets?
Popular Post mrbrownstone8797
Just read on discogs that the back cover shows "Dead Horse" as "Dead Horses". Been digging around trying to see which versions are affected. The Japanese deluxe CD shows it correctly but everything else I've seen so far has the mistake. This pic is from a standalone UYI vinyl. 1 7

Mr Mini Mite
Ben watching Ritz 91.... OMG. It just blew my mind. It's the perfect mix of pre UYI rawness and 92 and 93 hyper professionalism Axl looks so happy, everyone is firing on all cylinders. Great video and audio quality. Just amazing

Free Bird
I have both CDs here since Friday and I still wasn't able to give them a listen. Fucking busy at the moment. Hopefully tomorrow is the day. Still bummed that I don't own the blu ray.
