So you need to buy both cds separately, the box set and then the Japanese versions to get all tracks? I think you'd be good with just the Japanese versions and the box set
cqleonardo
Watched a little bit of the show on YouTube and i don't know if I'm happy or pissed off. Happy because I'm really watching this, I've been a fan since before the release of CD and this show was always a great talk around fans. Or pissed off because they just sat on this for 31 fucking years and maybe have a lot more just collecting dust in a storage facility
linkthegu1
The ritz is a great concert, and so are the other warm up gigs, they have variety on the setlist, plus it has Izzy. Two blu rays instead of one would've been better for release, since it's the anniversary of two of their albums, not just one. Anyways, Vegas 92 was the best thing they thought of, since it's a concert that has never been released. I don't know what they were thinking by releasing Tokyo instead of Vegas.

Vegas 92 is a bluray show with ivideo too like Ritz or just audio?

DaneisKing1389
Can someone spell out which songs are missing from which versions? Or point me to the page it’s on if you know? Just curious in case I decide to buy something.
Popular Post traddfolks
When I was 16 years old I rode my bike like ten miles across a podunk coastal town in South Carolina to an old Radio Shack and bought the Illusion albums on cassette the day they came out. I rode all the way home, I don't recall a Walkman or anything but I remember getting home and my friends and I huddled around this little Sony boombox and listened to them for the first of what would eventually turn into a lifetime of jamming. Long story short - this blu-ray is the fucking tits.

WhazUp
It is really nice that Izzy is in the Bluray concert, I always liked how well Gilby did with playing the part of Izzy but nothing compares to having the man himself there in the shadows doing his thing

I really wish they released the whole show on video. I doubt it was recorded on film so they wouldn’t be able to make a hi-def bluray of it, but there are clips of Yesterdays and November Rain from this show floating around and I would totally take seeing this show in that quality
DK6
Just listened to the drum solo. Wow it really did suck as much as i remember. Nothing more boring than a drum solo! Having said that - this boxset blows the a4d box set out of the water! Edited November 13, 2022 by DK6 1
MrMojo
Hopefully they'll consider more releases from the vault if this is successful.

Been digging around trying to see which versions are affected. The Japanese deluxe CD shows it correctly but everything else I've seen so far has the mistake. This pic is from a standalone UYI vinyl. That’s because it’s been remastered to sound like it has several dead horses, than the original with just one.
jamillos
Raw and awesome, from what I've seen so far. Amazing. And they waited 30 years with this...
WhazUp
It is really trippy seeing footage from 1991 in such clear quality and not like the video bootlegs we all know and love. This blows Tokyo 1992 out of the water in every way possible - more powerful audio mix, more stripped down performance, great audience, video quality, etc. This is the best thing to come out of GNR land since the stellar performances of 2016 when the reunion was fresh

nikosgnr
I just saw (for the fifth time) the Ritz show. Holy fuck! What a performance, what a band! This thing right there is GNFR. No words can explain my graditude to this release. Phenomenal. Please give us more.

Popular Post Billy Cundy
Ritz footage reminds you that at one point, they were just a really cool rock band, with good songs and gas in the tank. 5
