Vibe in the country seems to be a 'happy the conservatives lost' as opposed to a 'happy Labour won' thing. I would have voted for Labour anyway but I think many just felt it was time for a change and were rightly concerned about Reform so went Labour.

Lib Dems did very well out of this, they ran a very smart campaign. The only major point of concern is that the Tories having this few seats creates a power vacuum in which Reform will attempt to slide and grow, probably through populist dog whistling idiocy.

It does feel slightly like 1997 again.

The video of the three or four guys openly having a machete fight in the street is just bonkers.

To be honest I just want them to be locked in a cage and go at it. Save the rest of us having to deal with this absolute low live stains on humanity.

I don't want to live in England anymore

What's going on with all the stabbings and machete knives?

Protests and riots going on like it's the 70s/80s again.

I'm getting too old for this shit.

The government and the police need to do something quick to stop these absolutely vile racist cunts from rioting, looting and trying to set fire to buildings with people in them.  I don’t know why they don’t just pepper spray them all and shoot them with rubber bullets and taser the living shit out of them, fuck them - and take that England flag off them.

imo anyone throwing bricks or tables at police, setting cars/buildings on fire ect should be charged with attempted murder and they should be put on a register.

The press and the right bang on all the time about peaceful climate protests where there are hardly any arrests or someone does something "extreme" like pour paint on the wall of a tabloids office. Or block a road/hang up a placard.

These people though are literally smashing up shops, trying to burn down building and attacking people on the streets while doing nazi salutes all over the country (all corners of the uk) yet those on the right are pretending they're the victims.

It's not about immigration, these people just are what they are - hateful. Arrest them and clamp down on the right wing zealots and grifters on social media and tv stoking this.

TBH I can understand the patriot's view but I'm against the violence that goes with it. The police are too inconsistent with these marches they need to treat all protesters the same regardless if they are right or left wing.

I hate the climate protests, they solve nothing. They just come across as spoilt little brats.

So much for the tolerant left

I'm glad there are few who still retain an ounce of ability to discern multiple points of view inside the mob.

Why is it that it's only ever the right that are trying to divide us, and used as an insult?

Maybe, just maybe, the left are trying to combine things that simply don't go together, like oil and water?

I have polish neighbours and they refuse to integrate. They have no interest in being friends with the neighbours. They only speak polish except on rare occasions where they have to (receiving mail etc) and they only hire polish workers to do things to their house.

They have no interest in integrating. There are areas of Bristol that are whole areas of Somali people and they do not want to integrate

The same happens in areas of London.

Muslim traditionalists (I don't know the actual term) will not support or reason with anything LGBTQ+, and certainly do not want that around their children. They therefore take their children and keep them in their own bubble or ideology.

Every year that passes shows more and more that multiculturalism isn't working, and at the same time there should be no shame in being a patriot.

I have no issues with people coming to this country to give back, but I absolutely do not like the attitude of taking and not attempting to join our society, or worse, taking and trying to enforce their own rules on us.

I totally get the irony of that as a Brit whose country did exactly that for centuries, but we've moved past that era. It's not the same.

imo when the left go around the country burning down cafes/businesses/hotels and attacking people on the street while throwing petrol bombs at police cars, while chanting at everyone a different ethinity they should go home - then it can be debated whether are not the police are dealing with sides equally or not.

Someone mentioned already the machete fight between kids. Why are the kids running around dressesed black having a fight with machetes between other gangs in broadlight down the town? Like what does this have to do with immigration?

As for Poland. Some of the nicest people I've encountered are Polish. Why have a lazy middle aged Brit who's taking his time so he can get more money on a half arsed job fixing something, than a hardworking Pole who's trying to make a living?

Maybe that's not the case, but good for then for hiring who they want.

I'd be more inclined to agree that they're just trying to make a living if it wasn't for the fact that the guys they hire are absolute bodgers of the highest order and always do shoddy work.

I agree on Poles being some of the nicest people as a general rule though. I have worked with many and my wedding photographers were a polish couple I've known for about 20 years.

The wife is first generation to come to the UK, and has done everything she can to integrate. The husband is second generation and you'd never tell him apart from a multi generation Brit.

I never liked Jermaine Anus, and have always found something very off about him. It's not just a Spurs thing.

On a slight tangent a German Anus is my first porn memory. God bless VHS. 😂

A german anus is probably not my first porn memory, but it's certainly a main part of one of my favourite memories. Video is probably still in my favourites on my old iMac.

For me in the early 90’s pre internet all porno videos were dodgy copies of old German VHS grot. I never heard English in a porno until I got broadband in the late 90’s. 😂
