SMKC hit its peak with WoF.. That was killer album and the music was strong enough to outshine Myles.. He is a nice guy and all and better live but he is generic and stale as hell which rubs off on the music. I have zero interest in SMKC anymore. Even more so since the reunion where I can see Slash play GnR songs. No interest in Duff's solo stuff.. Especially after the woke cringy Tenderness album. Guns themselves are stale themselves these days.. Every one of the "Chinese Leftovers" are crap.. The lineup is sterile and don't do a decent amount of songs justice. Axl is a shell of his former self.. I will still see them live if they come around but it isn't top priority.. I am stoked for this Slash album/tour.. I hope it takes off and becomes an annual thing.. Pretty much spot on exactly how I feel. Things in the GNR universe have been flooded with uninspired releases and projects since 2018 when the first release post GNR-reunion came out, LTD, and completely shattered my expectations with what would become of that band after such an incredible string of albums that were just getting better. But also the new GNR singles, were pretty much not any better. Most of the time the waiting for it coming out ended up being more exciting than the release itself, how disappointing is that? Perhaps was really the only one moment where I felt pretty good about it. I have a feeling this album will make up for it and that it can be listened to for a long time, with 70 minutes it has near WoF length to it which makes up for things somewhat. Obviously the Scott Weiland thing casts a shadow, but I can honestly see them doing VR again in some form. Hell, bring in Fortus, Dizzy and Melissa as well! That might give Axl a kick up the arse. No they were all bickering. The only one that wasn't was Dave Kushner.

Well I don't know about making up for all the uninspired stuff they've shovelled out, but it would be nice if this album was a proper corker! jacdaniel
I guess Duff announcing shows later in the year confirms that Guns is done for 2024 at least. I wonder will they come back next year? Also wonder whether I really want them to if touring and Monster is all they’ve got.

It was only pulled from CD due to time constraint reasons, so I don't see it not coming out, other than for Slash or Duff saying this is shit to Axl, which they won't do when they even said yes to The General lol. 1

I'd go see that. But just going out with Monsters and Atlas seems a bit thin, but they will probably do that if the demand is there ticket wise. Yeah I don’t expect them to release more than what they’re saying and that’s another one two combo of “new” singles with Monsters being one of them. If we’re lucky we get another video for one of the singles. There’s nothing more to come before the next world tour, if you ask me.
Popular Post GoBucky
I have a very good friend who close to many people in the industry, and he told me today that Gn'R is confirmed for shows at Sphere. He didn't give me dates, but said it's a done deal. Take it for what it is, but he's never given me bad info. 7 2

Creative Works posted something a while ago about integrating AI during GNR shows, like having Axl 'interact with things on the screen'. I'll see if I can find the post. It's not surprising they'd do something like this, many people here have seen another Vegas residency as inevitable. I went to both nuGNR residencies and the first couple reunion shows in 2016, but wouldn't bother with this. I don't get the hype around the venue and GNR have never been a big 'stage show' kind of band...

I also felt the same about Sphere, but had a few friends that went to see the Dead and said it was spectacular. I can't stand that band, but the screens looked incredible. I'd head out for a show or two to see what they put together. He said Pearl Jam is also booked.

Popular Post Gordon Comstock
17 minutes ago, Uncle Bob said: Definitelly hope THAT doesn't happen Well get f'n ready for some of the worst concert visuals you've ever f'n seen. Following “The General,” Creative Works London is looking at other ways to integrate AI into Guns N’ Roses’ output, including combining AI with iMAG, the large-scale video projection system used in live performances. “What we've been doing with Guns’ show—we haven't really pulled it off, because the teams aren't ready for it—is to drop real time content in the iMAG,” he said. The idea, he explained, is to “have Axl interacting with content that’s being fed from content in the main screen, but in the iMAG,” with augmented reality elements appearing in front of him and behind him. “What we’re trying to do there is some kind of halfway house, so if you’re in a show and you put goggles on, you can see all this real-time content flowing around the band.” He suggested that in future, live performances could incorporate augmented reality elements, “where people can just wear those glasses and then see the content explode beyond the stage and around them, in this kind of DMT-like hallucination.” https://decrypt.co/215062/how-guns-n-roses-used-ai-create-wild-new-music-video-general 1 3

There will definitely be no album, Axl Rose is playing with other toys

A Vegas residency was always on the cards at this stage, and it would all seem to fit. Plus they can charge a crazy amount for tickets because it's the Sphere, and somewhat new. I shudder to think what awful visuals that Creative Works will create.....and how defensive they'll be when people don't like it, if their reaction to people not liking that abysmal General video are anything to go by!

If it just had that it would be worth it. You throw in that screen and it’s a mind blowing experience. Anything but new music. It's hard to imagine that this will NOT suck though. :X - the vocals can't be hidden - the visuals will be bad - GnR is a Rock 'n' Roll band
