Mama Kin
The Kinks are hugely underated, the Stones are hugely overated
Roses
The Kinks have done so many quality songs (my faves are Dead End Street and Picture Book and Shangri-La) that everyone will recognise but not necessarily know as The Kinks (silly people )...and like Mama Kin says, their influence on modern pop music is so underated. But even so, I prefer the Stones. Just because I would choose to listen to Sympathy for the Devil or Honky Tonk Woman above Lola or Sunny Afternoon.
Yamisonic
I like by the Kinks Set Me Free, Lola, You Really Got Me, Picture Book, and others I can't remember the names. I don't know if I've ever listened to Waterloo Sunset. Sympathy For The Devil is probably my favourite song ever, thinking about it.

Guest Ohdistortedsmile1789
Stones should win against anyone but the beatles, and I might even argue that one.
