Looking for bands like Van Halen

It's quite simple really. I'm really into Van Halen and am looking for recommendations of similar bands. I'm mainly interested from a guitarists point of view; I'm looking for a band which uses finger tapping and dive bombs and all those other techniques that EVH introduced, rather than band with a more bluesy guitarist. But nothing too techical; no Steve Vai!

Maybe try some DLR solo, they're more like classic Van Halen than VH with Hagar IMO. Steve Vai plays on a lot of songs but he doesn't play the incredibly fast solos like he does on his solo albums.

I would recommend some Pantera and Ozzy with Randy Rhoads (although Zakk does a pretty good job of those solos live too).

I dunno. I wouldn't really consider GnR, motley crue or poison as being EVH influenced. And especially not pantera.
