december pain
Taken from the official Buckcherry Forum, "Lit Up"Launch Radio Networks reports: BUCKCHERRY will get down to work on its next album sometime this fall, after the band completes its upcoming Bad Boys of Rock tour with HINDER and PAPA ROACH. While the group has not been doing a lot of writing on the road, singer Josh Todd told Launch that they're definitely starting to think about new material. "Yeah, we've been accumulating ideas, but haven't really put songs together," he said. "We really want to be in one place to start going through that. But we write really fast, and it should be really great." The band plans to release one more single from its latest album, "15", and also has a live DVD in the works for this fall, according to FMQB. A new BUCKCHERRY album won't be out until the summer of 2008. Drummer Xavier Muriel said in a recent interview that the band has "tons of stuff left over" that didn't make it onto "15". "15" has sold 725,000 copies in the U.S. since its release in the spring of 2006. The group has played more than 200 shows in support of the album, which marked BUCKCHERRY's comeback after a four-year hiatus. BUCKCHERRY next plays in Kaukanoia, Wisconsin on Friday (June 1). The Bad Boys of Rock trek kicks off in mid-July.A live Dvd and album? Cannot wait!!!

Estranged Reality
I really don't like them. I like "Lit Up" and "Crazy Bitch," but the rest strikes me as very bland and similar to Papa Roach, and I really can't stand Papa Roach either. Also, Josh Todd's vocals don't do anything for me. He comes across like a poser - the whole band is just like Hinder insofar as that they seem to be trying to bring back the faded late '80s sleaze rock of the Crue and GN'R (in its Appetite days), but that time has passed and it's impossible to bring back due to cultural shifts and so on. Also, the music sounds too damn polished to be true sleaze rock.
